Nothing really to add, except I like these wheels. And one can't go wrong with Alpinas.
Carry on.
IIRC those aren't Alpinas. They are a BMW wheel never offered stateside.
Those are e32 specific staggered style 14s not offered in the states. Perfect e32 wheel IMHO, mine now grace the e31. All this e32 talk is making me miss my e32.
Putting style 5's on it. Going to make it nice and sorted. Will go the extra mile and enjoy it. Pretty sure I am going to sell my e90 and roll with the e28 and e32. Tired of seeing my e90 on every street corner with some chick or 16 year old driving one. Shit I am getting old
Spending money like I got some! Tires here. Door latch swapped, more parts on order. My suburban neighbor and i have worked out a sweet Style 5 deal. Thanks Gary aka Hffvdbl!! Going to end up with several sets of style 5's to share and roll on our cars. I have 4 ready to send off and get refinished to use on the e32 - THEY WILL NOT BE SOLD WITH CAR I am working on some other sets to offer with car if and when I sell it. Going to throw the M6 reps on my e90 and save my 32's if I decide to sell the e90. Decisions, decisions.....I hope the e32 ends up where I would like it. -R
So, new windshield going in today. Hood painted. Full detail being performed. Style 5's refinished and new tires installed. PDR done yesterday as well. I have the few immediate parts I wanted (Fog Lenses, Rt Low beam lense, hood and trunk shocks struts, some clips and a lower door outer seal). Will try to drive home tonight or tomorrow. I have a busy weekend with family and friends, but will get pics up soon. -R
-Installed new front windshield glazing and need the little center filler to finish securing it.
-New fog lights going in this week.
-Recover Drivers armrest and fix headrest. Also missing a piece of trim that holds seat memory switch in place on drivers seat.
-Cup Holder. Maybe the good doctor can make me one
-Final Detail
It drives great and feels quicker than my e90?!? Now to lower front end
As we begin to freeze again here in Dallas, I spent an hour updating my fog lamps and partially installing the RT headlamp washer nozzle. I am waiting for one more part on exterior trim and I need to install the one headlamp lense, then she should be done for a bit. I ordered the missing tools from BMW that were pilfered from tool kit and I have a replacement glovebox flashlight coming. Car is cosmetically a solid 8.5-9; Damn nice for its age.
Going to check the undercarriage again. I think it may need a diff mount and maybe motor mounts. Tends to vibrate a little to much at lights and stop signs.
Really enjoy driving it. It needs to lose and inch from front end ride height, but it is so smooth and forgiving on the
road that I hate to mess with it. What a lovely car. Glad I got her out from underneath my non-mechanical friend. Full pictorial when the final parts arrive and the sun stays out for a bit.
Car is extremely nice. I installed the motor mounts and replaced the cabin filter. Did an oil change with new Mahle filter and 20-50 Valvoline VR1. Getting armrest fixed this week and PUTTING UP FOR SALE.
Will be installing factory wheels and somewhat new tires. Will offer Style 32's or Style 5's as an upgrade for the right money. My pal Gary and I have a Kohler collection of wheels and I have to see what he is willing to sell based on what we share.
Going on local CL this week. $5900obo. Ton of receipts and docs.
