HELP! Engine noise after spirited drive!

Sounds like your throw out bearing or something similar in the clutch area may have given up.

Guides are the #1 fear however. If those are fine, you lucked out!

Well here is the update if anyone out there gives a crap haha...so the M5 is at BMW and apperantly the scary noise coming from the engine has stopped...why does this happen?!? Anyway all this anticipation and now a waiting game for it to start making the noise again...so bazaar for the noise to stop but my mechanic thinks that the chain guides can actually act up intermittently...who knows at this point but if anyone has had this happen before let me know?! I will update with issue hopefully in the near future.

Correction....the chain tensioner can act up at start up and high rpm he says...which Kyle had mentioned from the start of all this..thx Kyle! Anyway I order the oem e28 m5 tensioner then obviously found out that the e36 M3 tensioner was a upgrade??? Does anyone have a opinion sticking with the original or using the e36 m3 s50 tensioner, just some thoughts

As well he said I would feel the vibration of the chain through my jb racing aluminum flywheel quite easily if there was not enough tension on the chain...
