Recognized it almost instantly - the car that made me decide to get my 533i and dive into the world of E28s.

Ryan: Glad to see you are back into a bmw. Great seeing the pictures. Some of the places my wife and I have been on the I-1.
Hope to see what you are going to do with the 533.

That car looks absolutely stunning! Kudos to Chris for getting it there and the best of luck to the new owner. Keeping up with Chris' meticulousness has got a to be a tough job!

Awesome photos too! I enjoyed the timeline.

I'm going to bump this thread as a "casual" for-sale feeler. The car is still great, at 148,xxx miles now, and still needs a few little things. I'm not looking to make any money off of this deal. I'd just like it to go to a good home with one of you guys. If you're interested, shoot me a message or email. Thanks,

Wow, such a great car, very surprising that you want to sell!

All that beautiful scenery makes me want to move west! I mean I love Chicago and Lake Michigan, but WOW, so much greenery!

Beautiful auto you have there, but why, may I ask, is the antenna further up the passenger rear quarter than my E28?
Mine is located in the rear section of that panel.

Edit: Clear differentiating picture in my sig pic about the antenna placement.

Yours and every other North American E28.

It was added later. It was like that when I bought it. As for why, I have no idea.

Wow. We should have a gathering of all the cars that used to be Kohler's and the people that own them now.
