Here you go,
http://www.scparts.co.uk/index/lang-2/l ... 488118.htm Cheap as well, but it is an inclusive kit.
2000 British pounds is cheap?! for 3 carbs?!
He could do a MS PNP and ITBs for that, and get far better performance.

Performance? You're paying for artwork, not auto parts. :D And triple Webers are better art than most I've seen.

I saw 45 DCOEs for about $350 per and the runners and linkages for about $700. Yup. Looks like $2000 (american) plus modding to get it running. (For NEW stuff)

You could probably just flip the centre loom and accessory/main connector and just reroute the stuff that goes to the back.
I think so, too. We'll see.

I've got the fuel tank when you need it. Of course, if you start with a US/NA E28, you'll be in for a headache. You'll have to hack away some supports in the right rear quarter area in to get the tank to fit. There was a reason the US tanks are smaller.

It does include the inlet manifold as well. As I said, cheap at twice the price, not!

Thanks! That's terrific!
I'm reasonably assured that I can handle a little bit of "support hacking" to make it fit. I mean, well, here we are...

hey buddy was searching through the net, looking at info on the e28 5 series JPS bmw's and came across your post..

notice you have brought the JPS E28 from shannons..

you would be correct that there are only two of these cars in australia.

in 1998 at the age of 17 i was fortunate enough searching through the trading post for a first car to come accross a 1983 E28 JPS, for sale and from that day til today she has been in my possession.

i didnt realise at the time until the previous owner told me and showed me some documentation that the car i had just brought was the personally owned Jim Richards car. which i have the original log book to prove it.

some time ago i had the car parked at chadstone shopping center ( as it was my daily driver) i had a business card placed under the drivers window from a doctor i believe from glen roy with the inscription on the back "very nice car I have the other".

which i believe is the car you now have.

Unfortunately my baby was a victim to that violent hail storm a few years back and suffered some damage whilst i was overseas, so currently she is in my factory striped out and in the process of being fully restored.

and hopefully will be up and running next year with shinny new paint work and rebuilt engine. it would be great to get a pic of these two cars together as they are pretty rare..

cheers

Brian

I converted an E3 to L-jet and didn't cut a wire. Taped a few off just in case the smog police were going to eliminate the lifetime age exemption, which they did, but I think wiring is the least of his challenges.

Well.
Thought I would make an update because it's motivating.

There is a container crossing the world right now with my RHD parts in it.
Subframe
Sport steering box (m535i) (w/hyd lines)
Linkages
Big piece of firewall for mocking up in case the popouts are a myth
Exhaust manifolds
Dash
Console
And some other bits and bobs.
Wiring didn't make the container, but I'll get it sent regular mail.

Vince has a Euro fuel tank for me just waiting till I get home...
And I have an m90 block with b35 pistons/bottom end and some other crap to bodge together coming from NorCal.

Sooooo, I have a b35 head at Bimmerheads just waiting for my go ahead and specs for rebuild. I got a head rebuilt there already... But just did a +1 job on it. Nothing crazy.

I'd like to go a little more wild with this engine... High compression, Webers... Maybe a stroker?

Suggestions for setup? Something simple, but effective.

You have a B35 block/crank/rods and M90 pistons coming from NorCal. I also have the M90 crank if thats preferred, though its an 84mm stroke instead of 86mm.
Get it together Tyrone.

I read on the e9 board about a 3.3 crankshaft. I can't remember the stroke... So that would take it to what? In displacement?

3.8 liters with the right rods. I can guarantee you will never find one of those cranks.

... And there is a 'popout' on the passenger side for the steering column/shaft to go through. Sweet. One less thing to guess about...

Thanks to rubix_cube for the naked engine bay pics!

Edit: Almost forgot.
I bought Fido's slicktop. That will be the base for this car. Since it will probably need everything, might as well just strip it, fix what needs fixing, add what i need and that's it. Hoping to come in somewhere around 2700 lbs. (my 528i slicktop is as near 3000 lbs as makes no difference)
