I too went with Berlin but more because that's where I was born and I also had a cool Berlin dealer frame.

Thanks. I really wanted something specific from SW Poland, Silesia or France - Alsatian, but Germany is the only place that seems to have somewhat specific plates for regions, and I like the city seal of Berlin...so

France used to use a two digit department (region) code on their plates but now have the department code and seal on the blue strip on the right hand side.

touched up the shadow-lining on the rear window, got the a/c fixed, and installed the moon-roof...

also, got most of the brake parts for my big brake upgrade.

Did an oil change, replaced the lamps for my low and high beams (an utter pain the ass) and fog lamps, had Sherman use his Jeremy Clarkson tool kit to fix my passenger side window motor, and traded my old wheels and tires for an entire blue interior (sans carpet and dash (mine is uncracked)) and enough cloth to refabric my sport seats.

I pulled the blue cloth from the other car. I have the full rear seat and cut the pieces from two comfort seats. I think it is more than enough to do a patch job on my seats.

Ordered X-Pel film set for my Euro lights and fog lamps, stainless steel brake line for my big brake upgrade, and some e23 competition.

The Michelin 205 tire has a recommended wheel size of 5.5 to 7.5 inches.

205 and 225 on 7.5 and 8.5 is fine.

There is no absolute "correct" way to do most things in life. Telling someone they made a wrong choice when they didn't isn't helpful.

IMHO, Michelin Pilot A/S in 205/225 is an excellent choice.

Reading the posts in order before telling someone they told someone they made a wrong choice when they didn't is helpful, because then you don't have to post incorrectly, as you did since it appears you didn't read the posts in order.

He hadn't purchased tires yet. Plus, with how expensive tires are, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't tell someone that was happy with their decision that they made a wrong choice. My car handled better with the 205/225 combo, but the rear wheels looked as though they didn't have enough tire. Of course, had I actually seen a real spec sheet for the H5s and H5sp, I'd have known that the cars actually were sold with 205/55s and 225/50s, and that the 225/50s and 245/45s must have been added after the fact.



I'm glad the OP found some tires that worked for him and his M535i looks nice with the Hartges. Better than my M535i looked with them.

so...going to pull the head and send it off to parts unknown to have it rebuilt and couple with a Hartge Cam

also, maybe someone can give me a quick diagnosis. push the clutch all the way down and will barely engage. for the last few weeks the clutch would depress normally then have to manually pull the clutch pedal back to normal sitting position. do I need a clutch master cylinder?



also got the stainless brake lines from Turner and will be doing the big brake upgrade soon, while the head is out.

I would investigate the clutch slave first. Much easier to get at, cheaper, and most likely your cause unless the master is visibly wet/leaking.

I'm sure you meant barely DISengage.

Maybe, or maybe the slave or maybe just bled well, and/or maybe your clutch pedal bracket is cracked. The bracket is known failure point and then causes the master to be misaligned and leads to this so check that out first. Bleeding works best when it's done at the slave with the slave removed but if you bracket or master is bad it will quickly return to the current state.

With Sherman's help (and Yert315's write-up), the head has been removed...
