No trough diving. They've sectioned it off now!

In all my years of carrying a camera at race tracks I never once considered taking a picture of a urinal trough.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. And lamenting the sectioning of the trough so he couldn't do "trough driving"? I think we need a more thorough explanation from The Old one.

Trough diving needs no explanation. I wouldn't participate but I've seen it done.

Lots of first-timers this trip and everyone had a blast. Even my sister-in-law didn't go too nuts when I threw pizza on her in the shower and then used her credit card later when she left it at the bar

Yes. Sit at the first turn coming out of the straight into the infield when you arrive.
Make note of your room number. Write it on your hand. Note which hotel.
Look for me at the Oceandeck. Further instruction and enebriation awaits.

I should be able to stumble there from Ocean Breeze.

Actually I don't have any passes but now that I found out my mother in law is comming for the weekend I am considering it. It's only about 3.5hours from my place. I may just load up the hartge and head over. I still have my camping stuff in a box in the garage from the vintage races. If I can get a camp spot I'm more than 50 %. Gonna call the ticket folks Tommorrow.

Didn't make it to the race but I'm catching it on the tube. Man 4 hours in both exciting and aggressive.

The Corvette race... 24 hours, and it still comes down to a drag race.

For once the entire race was also streamed in it's entirety on imsa.com with audio commentary from the Radio LeMans guys. I was impressed that the stream worked perfectly every time I tried it. Hopefully they continue that effort with the remainder of the races this year.

I bailed on the TV coverage with <1 hour to go - it was too nice outside & we still had snow to move around.
Local boy makes good! Tommy Milner, son of Tom Milner who ran PTG in Winchester VA (so cool when they maintained all the BMW race cars before they were moved to RLL), was on the winning Corvette team.

Huge end of the race...I was on my toes. I'm always a Corvette Racing fan in GTLM, though I pull for the turner boys in GTD. My Z06 is my most built street beast, my e28 is my daily, my M3 my track slut/street car.

Well I made it. My soul is strong, my liver is hanging out my ass, and my mind is shot. I blame it on listening to too much Bjork http://youtu.be/LyEJxzQM24Q and my weeklong travel companions.
Friday night had me at the Ocean Deck insisting the band play some Sublime. I gave them half a stack of lint covered $20's from my hoodie pouch, and in no time we were grooving. I danced, I sang. I was asked to pay my tab and leave. No problem, as Molly Brown's likes linty $20's, just not so much cell phone recording of their dancers. The music is better at Lollipop's anyhow, and there was a club between the two that had peanuts and damn good BBQ. There were waay too many peanuts in my beer to even drink, thanks to my friends, so I continued onto Lollipops. I loaded my pouch with peanuts for the hike over there, and from what I understand, by the time friends arrived I was all out of money and putting peanuts in the girls g-strings when they bent over in front of me. I was happy to see them, we drank more beer and finally left after the dance floor needed a good sweeping from all of the crushed peanut shells. Hopped a cab and after little chit-chat with the driver and no previous knowledge, played my: "Idiot Savant Game". I guessed how many brothers and sisters the driver had, but when I guessed his name he freaked out and pulled over. I guess I'm getting a little too good at that game. Anywhoo, we hit the sack and woke up to the familiar "Where's my wallet and cellphone, where's all of my money" bullshit. Took a shower and got over it. Hit the track and had a drink, ate 2-3 footlong corndogs,, had a few more drinks and then someone lit a giant stuffed bear on fire. Watched the race and had another corndog. I tried to open up a Lamborghini on display from the inside and set off the alarm. Whatever. More racing throughout the night and then more Oceandeck. Sunday's finish was pretty epic, the drive home included a few beers and more Bjork. I'll be there next year. Keeps me sane.
