There certainly are other options available, but I decided to go with what was/is at hand.
And having the complete car available allows for the complete ///M conversion, not just the drivetrain.

While you are very right, I think the S50 is also much more popular especially in sedan E34s. Soon will be like Style 5s on an E34.

But then again we have some S50/S52 cars that are done absolutely properly to the very last bit, is that right Greg :cool:

I am yet to ses a S38 M5T and there is one cooking North of me :)

While you are very right, I think the S50 is also much more popular especially in sedan E34s. Soon will be like Style 5s on an E34.

I wouldn't be afraid of driving and using a converted car. A real M5T would be a garage queen for me so I like Sherman's plan!

Luckily insurance in the US is based on VIN. If I were in England, I'd have to submit any motor swaps like this for a hefty insurance hike.

It will either stay badged as is or get de-badged.
About insurance, Allstate only asks for the VIN.

You know why style 5s are popular? They don't look like style 138s. For me, the S50 is also a very easy swap. Keep the plastic coil cover from the M50 and no one is the wiser.

I'd love to build a car like this, but I'd have to use a '93 and I don't like '93s.

Hurry up and finish that kitchen.
