I confess that I considered picking this up to have a sort of matched set of M535's. But money is and object these days, so this will have to go to someone else.
I admit the color combination is very appealing.

And yes, Chris is correct: CA DMV will honor the BAR sticker even if it went out of state and comes back.

Just figured I'd mention that I've seen the car several times. First, right after it showed up off the trailer and a few times throughout it's progression. I've also been under it while it was on the rack. The rust is isolated to those areas you see. There was some work done back there early on in the car's life and it was done very well. Everything lines up and with a good detail and some PDR, you could have one helluva sweet Arctic M535i with all the options and a great Euro-only color combo. Of course, a few things aren't to my taste, but for what's offered here and what's being asked, it's a very fair price. It's not like the market is chock-full of M535s. This one has been a west-coast car it's entire life. Also has a BAR sticker and could easily go back to California (ask Vince).

Man, for that kind of endorsement, I'da driven it to Az when I was selling it

I was going to find a straight inner bumper to remount the Tupperware to and see where that got it. Or just ditch the plastic altogether. But, sold it prior to any of that.

I actually did consider buying this car. I was having a relatively peaceful PM conversation with Ashley and was about to make her an offer for slightly less than what that other guy made. Glad I didn't. She's never going to sell it which is a shame because it's just going to continue to rot away.

You are partially correct. She is never going to sell it to one of us to prove a point, which point I do not know. What will end up happening is that she will sell it to some no name on CL for about what she has been offered, $3,000.00 or so. She would probably rather sell it to someone else to spite the community.

I like it yes. AND.....some interesting situations here that would relate nicely to it THOUGH frankly I am really into the E39s and E38s these days....1997 540i 6 speed Dinan S3, 2000 540i 6 speed, 2001 740i M sport and a 2003 540i M sport 6 speed that was hit in rear and a driver/parts car. [AND several others in the stable]
