tn535i thank you for the tips. I'm going to do my best to test the way you mention but my skills are quite bad with electrical testing but I am getting better having to do things like this, ha ha!

Gidgaf thank you for the guidance. I will be visiting a salvage yard tomorrow to see if I can find the ICV and ICM so that I can test.

I will be putting in a timing belt and water pump and cam seals today so I will also get in there and clean and look for air leaks and frayed wires. I'll also have a look at the fuse issue and see what I can find on the underneath the box, sounds like fun!

With regards to the color of the box, not sure it makes a difference but wanted to mention it, it is green. Is there a difference or was it just a color change during the production years?

They were Bosch OEM SuperPlus Heavy-Duty Yttrium Electrode.

Sounds like a "new and improved" copper plug. Just so long as they aren't the "Platinum" plugs; these motors don't like (or run well) on them.
