The accounting so far. The thread you don't want your wife to see.
$4500 purchase
$500 transport from Ft Worth TX to Savannah GA.
$200 used AC parts and cardinal door cards
$1800 AC install, hood wouldn't open, brake MC fell apart.
$600 Dent Wizard repair significant hail damage
$900 new Cardinal seat leather

Coming soon
$400 to install seat leather.
$200 used driver's seat base with seat motors, and dash parts.

The next big question is going to be a repaint. Geez let me repair the paint damage without resorting to a repaint.

Understood. At the time, I just didn't catch on. I'm slow that way. I said "sell it to me". When you answered "no" I didn't understand that meant "yes". I've been confused by that sort of thing before.

You ever consider that maybe, deep down inside, you're a chick?

Hey I forgot to mention...there's some old thread around here where you were getting piled on by the regular cast of e28 angry men and I defended your ass. It'll turn up again.

Later edit. Found it. http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?p=1069292#1069292

I did see that posted in the other thread. Thanks for the kind words. I've been on the edge of dumping this whole forum due to the a-holes that ruin it. That was not my only occurrence with them. A shame this could be a great site. But now I know why there isn't much of a following here.

You don't remember me saying my E28 should be at least worth 3000? :argue:

If you don't like it, there's a door around here somewhere. Use the search function and you might find it.

If you've already purchased new seat leather, please don't pay a third party $400 to swap it out. You can do this job yourself in an afternoon, while drinking beer and watching football if you like. You will need some snap-ring pliers to remove the seat hinges, some needle-nose pliers to bend the metal tabs and remove the hog rings that hold the leather to the seats, and a utility knife to (carefully) pierce the new leather to accept the tabs and hog rings. If you're careful, you can even re-use the old hog rings.

I did this one Saturday back in August, sitting in the a/c and watching Olympic trampoline. Twas the tits.

Somebody needs to sharpen up their reading and comprehension skills.

And where's the fun in that? You got the point and youcan even say you figured it out on your own (bonus self-esteem points) so it's all good.
