528es are still very capable daily drivers for a 25-30 yr old car The whole deal is to keep the things maintained. The e 28 is a very easy car to work on . There are many things you can do yourself. Such as cleaning up the fuse box connections and replacing the fuses . Get a Bentley manual and read it .Post mechanical questions in the tech section . Read the tech FAQs .E 28s have a lot of easily solved gremlins. A little effort on your part using the resources available here will greatly enhance your 528 e ownership experience

I keep mine on the stock 14" wheels. But I am a cheap old fart . Most people have gone to bigger wheels with low profile tires because they are in style. Welcome.
