I understand the concept of wanting to be equally equipped to defend yourself against ANYONE, but remember, even if you have a tank, you only have ONE tank, and ZERO RESPAWNS; they have jets and nukes. Face it, resistance is now futile.
Your best bet is a single shot anyway. Military studies show that when combat soldiers are given automatic weapons, the number of enemy killed, captured, or wounded per bullet fired drops dramatically. So, if you are in a Red Dawn situation: a) your best best it to avoid direct contact at all costs (use ambushing, subterfuge, and sabotage instead), and use b) a single shot rifle to conserve ammo. if you are engaged.
