No he was in Romania at the time. I had a MEXICAN guy named GERMAN paint my car. I'm not too happy about it, the color isn't matched perfectly. It's supposed to be arctic blue metallic but it came out greyish purple. He left it in the shop while the paint was still drying so I got a bit of dirt in it but it'll buff out.

Euro lights are in but not finished yet. The car was in a slight front end collision and the front fascia needs to be lined up. right now the lights sit about a half inch in the grills but also need to be adjusted. At the same time I'm aligning everything I am going to swap in some clear hid's on the lights and fogs. The car also spent the day yesterday getting a full tune up. Had the hartge rear spoiler installed also. Monday I will look into new brakes all around the car and getting the ac recharged. After this it's just small stuff.

Looking very nice. You did miss a good opportunity to rid the poor car of those hideous Federally-mandated corner lamps, but it can always be done later. It's terrible how they almost always hack the car up to install those things.

Ya I should've removed the side markers. Not till after I painted the car did I find out they were added on when imported. In the future I'll see about removing them.

That's what I was trying to say in my post(s) before. Euro e28s do have side markers, similar to the e30/34's...

Update.
Did some work to my euro this week. Had to fish out this build thread to do an update, it's been that long. Not much has changed on the 5 up until this week I finally tackled my ripped door cards and had creative intentions in mind.

So I visited Joanne fabrics..



I had zebra print in mind but I didn't really want to copy shagrath's (I believe it was) car. So I chose a blue plaid design.

Here is a step by step process of how I wrapped my door cards. All I used as far as tools is a simple office stapler (my stapler did not go all the way through the cardboard and the cloth), scissors, razor blade, and a screw driver



disassembled removing the door card panel from the surrounding trim. I left the insulation layer on because I found I could work around it.



I then put the fabric over and cut off the excess material leaving 2-3 inch of extra material to fold over the edges. Pull the fabric tight staple it on each side so when everything is put back on the fabric won't sag or move to much out of place.




Cut out holes with a razor blade for the window switch, cap that would be for the manual windows, all the holes for the screws on the arm rest and for the door handle and make sure to mock up the door after this step to make sure everything fits before installation. Staple all the fabric down from cutting all the holes tight so it doesn't allow slack in the material.







Then you can put it all back together






Installed..






Wrapped my visors in the same material.






Also added new tweeters to my sound set up. Had to cut down the pod, almost didn't even fit. May end up redoing it, not too happy about how it sticks out.






..and that brings us up to date on my 528i!

Maybe around $400 for everything. I had all the bodywork materials and prepped the car myself via sanding and primer, only bought paint, rented a booth and painter
