Ok, cats out of the bag, now it looks like I can start posting my pictures.
Oh and Mike, I hope you're holding your head high, if anything, I call it a tie, BOTH cars were exquisite.
It was amazing to see how much your car had only gotten better since 5er Fest in Reno and my hats off to ya my Brotha.
PICTURE TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we got back from Monterey a few hours ago and I just woke up from a well deserved nap

I had my laptop with me, but the hotel we stayed in still hasn't arrived into the 21st Century. We were on the go all weekend.
Phil and I finished the car around 11:00 Thursday night and I went home for a few hours of sleep. Met up with the O.C. gang at 6 a.m. to begin the drive up to Monterey. We stopped for breakfast around 8 in Santa Barbara when one of the gang spotted some wires hanging from the front of the car. So we all pulled over at Earl Warren Showgrounds (former Bimmerfest home) and I quickly re-attached the horn wires.
The rest of the drive went fine and we arrived in Salinas around 1:00. We then went to find a car wash to clean the car from the long drive. We finished around 6:00 and then went to check out the RM Auction cars downtown and then to get a quick bite to eat.
Friday morning I woke up before dawn and started cleaning the car until we had to leave for Carmel.
Someone above has already stolen my thunder and let the cat out of the bag, but I will say it was (and is never) a slam dunk at this event! There are some serious car owners in the Central Coast Chapter and you never know what you will be up against. I was pleasantly suprised that not only one, but two e28s were represented in the Concours and I was worried all the way to the end. Winning Peoples Choice was really the icing on the cake as well.
Jeff Cowan (BMWCCA CCC Chapter) and I have been good friends for years and I had asked him if he would like to have Kimberly and I help him at the track on Saturday and he gladly accepted. So, when we pulled up to park, he quickly ushered us in to the corral area!
It was a great weekend, but I am happy to be home. Now for some rest! And as Phil said earlier, but I will also chime in about is a big hand of thanks to the aformentioned people that volunteered their time to help!
Now, who wants to own this car?

Immaculate craftsmanship, I must see some high res pics of everything, it's so perfect! Congrats Ron for a job well done and one of the greatest e28s put together!

I don't see it happening, though unless you want two E28s, fifty-four wheels and a slough of parts...

Sorry Ron, but it wasn't for lack of respect, it was because we were all so impatient to see pics and hear how it went! If it's any consolation, I only saw that you won your class over on the 2002faq site and there were only 2 pics of the car, so I didn't know you won People's Choice.

You have an asking price yet that you'll divulge?

BTW, I'm glad you were able to get those wheels to work on the car. I knew it would be a job, but you were the man to handle it and Markus in Germany's wheels are worth going the extra mile for! They REALLY complete the car, it's just ............ wow. How's the car run, like a scalded dog? You see Scott Epstein reply in here to see your progress? Pretty cool that the original importer of the car is still around to see how she turned out! (I sent him the link last week and gave him the heads up.
