All we did was wander around and look pretty...

... well look at pretty cars, is what I meant.

Thanks for the beer Dave, it was so thoughtful of you,
but you really should have been there.

Oh, and the picture... we didn't see another bug or insect once it was put out on display.

Tell me something I don't already know. :bawl: It needed to be this way though, and it was a productive weekend, so I can't complain too much. Next time, or maybe next year we'll get some of you Texans to travel a little further north.

Funny guy; but that was my dad's line. ;)
I just didn't want to be left out of the fun completely. Glad to hear nobody stuck it on a dart board.

First and foremost, THANK YOU to all who attended. TexFest is nothing without you.
I also need to say thanks to my good friend Marshall Bishop, who helped me with the design editing of this year's logo. He is a 5er owner, but could not join us due to a business trip. We missed ya buddy!

///Mrs. ///Memo and I had a fantastic time. New faces, new cars, new beer (yum), and new memories. All great things that come with the hobby, the passion that is our cars.

Again, thank you everyone, and thank you Sherman for making this happen.

Here are some pics I took. My fav's

It appears everyone has made it home safely.

Dang it... why do the weekends have to be so stinkin' short?

According to rumor, Miss Texas was at Rainbow Courts last night. Anybody get a glimpse, or better yet a pic?
Rumor confirmed, but no pic. The very nice lady at the front desk mentioned it, but warned me she would shoot me if I said anything. What was cool, is she asked Miss Texas to come out for a pic with all of us, but then the skies opened up! That would have been a sweet pic. Another reason to go back to Rainbow Courts next year - great folks running that place!

Look like you guys had a good time. I wish I could have made it but had some serious family health issues that prevented me from going. Family member should be ok but it was pretty serious and isn't out of the woods yet.

Maybe next year. :(

Best joke of Tex Fest:

Q: What happens when you put a bra on an E28?
A:You make it period correct.

Still makes me chuckle.

TexFest aka LoneStarBurgers&Fives I is correct.
If I'm not mistaken, that's the H-Town contingent on the way up, stopping for a photo op.
Could've been on the way home though.

But that is a huge difference, even from TFLSB&F II, where we had the whole crew there
and I think only filled up the off street parking spaces.

So, do you have the 100k photo? :D
Here's how that went on the way home Sunday:

Me: Hey Vance, how much further til we turn 100K?

Vance: It's gonna be a while, I'll let you know.

A while later, while rolling into Texarkana:

Me: Hey Vance, when are we going to hit 100K?

Vance: About 22 miles ago.

Me: :bawl:

So now you aim for 111,111 miles. Reset your tripmeter at 100k, and that should more than make up for it.

What's the game plan for next year? Hopefully I'll have the e28 back on the road for some romping. ;)

Since everyone is posting footage, anyone got shots of a green station wagon blowing some dust off the pack (in the rain)?

I'm thinking I may have a baby seat in tow next year. That should add to the excitement as I blow by Sherman's m5. :poke:

Wish I could've made it Sherman, but I was in Denver for this:
http://www.greatamericanbeerfestival.com/ (spectacular, BTW!.. sooo much beer, so little time!)

Your call to me arrived while I was driving through some random hilly pass around Colo. Springs (I think)... wasn't prepared to take a call. ;) I had a fellow passenger blast a text to Luis and was hoping he'd be near enough to you to relay the message (since you refuse to read texts!).

Should be able to make next year! (so long as it's not on a 24hrs Lemons, GABF, or F1-Austin weekend :) ). Maybe by then my car will be one color/not peeling?! nah.. probably not... :D
