RonP, that is just awesome.

Will we see it on B-J?

I'd love to, and intend to eventually, get mine to that level, then drive it while keeping it there.

Thanks for the inspiration...

w soo clean!!! What did you use to paint the under body with?
Factory paint color that my paint store puts in a rattle can for me.

quick question - are you driving this or putting it on a trailer? almost seems too nice to drive now
I don't ever trailer my cars. I hope that answers your question. :D

lookin good ron! what tires sizes are on it now?
Took off the 235s and 255s and are now going with 225s and 245s.

Looking really good Ron, although you didn't pull the dents out of the frame rails
Are you effin serious? Out of all the time, energy, and hard work I puit into the underside of this car, I am sorry that you couldn't find something positive to say. I did look at the pictures and then looked at the actual car on the rack after your comment and they look much worse in the photos.
I saw that too but did not want to point fingers.
Thanks, Duke. :D
Rattle cans? Don't you have a paint gun?

It would cost less money and take less time to spray it through a gun!

Sweet, nuntheless ;)

Looks good, Ron. Nice to see the detail work. My only comment is about the originality of the body colored underside. To the best of my scrutiny, after cleaning and inspection, all of my E28s have the majority of the underside in cream/tan colored undercoating and only certain visible areas are painted in either body color or black (like the spare tire well). But I am not sure making it factory correct was the goal here, given some of the other changes/improvements.

See ya in about 13 hours, just bring something to wipe down the car every 15 minutes, lots of ash in the air from the Santa Cruz Mountains fire  unless the wind steers it away from Monterey/Carmel.

While RonP is on vacation (if you consider driving for seven hours, checking into the hotel, then spending the next five hours cleaning every nook and cranny of the car, going to bed late and waking up at o'dark thirty the next morning to spend four more hours re-cleaning those same nooks and crannys...as opposed to nookies and grannies...a vacation) back here at the shop there is about four days of cleaning to do. Restoration shrapnel and tools all over the place. As of this writing we await most impatiently to find out how the car was received. It would be impossible to overstate the importance of all the people who came to assist with this project. Without them the Hartge would absolutely not have made it to Monterey. Matt, Jeff, Paul, Darin, Phil (the other Phil), Jesus (as in the Spanish pronunciation), Devon to whom we gave the crappiest jobs and who always came back smiling and asking for more (truly a sick person), and Ron Inchausti of Coast Motor Werk who spanked the bad boy to life. Thank you all and also for the support from the E28 community at large. Now that that damn car is out of here maybe I can work on my race car.

So, yesterday was the 14th and I can't wait to hear how this car fared!

I re-read the whole thread a couple of times and am still amazed at the transformation of the car.

I have LOTS of pictures, but it's not for me or anyone else to burst Ron's bubble (so to speak)
I'll just wait until he gives the go ahead, sorry.

I have to tell you though, Mike's (murfinator) 535 was awesome, even more (by far) than it was at 5er Fest Reno, I'll get those pictures up later too.
