Tonight, stuck behind a fish truck in a traffic standstill. It was leaking goo from its rear doors and I thought I was totally going to spew, the smell was so bad. I was <this> close. No, really. <ths> close. Maybe <ts> close.

Watching a bunch of hipsters slap each other around is strangely amusing.

Coming home last night traffic on the freeway started to stop. Nothing new, the economy is improving. And I learned two things. At least one car, not mine, does not have ABS but does have flat spotted tires. The cloud of smoke that went up was impressive, but surely cheaper than body damage. But best rubber cloud I've ever seen. Still stunk when I went thru it 30 seconds later.

I did that in my 533i once with tires that had less than 500 miles on them. Driving on I-10 coming out of the tunnel getting ready to merge onto I-17. This Honda accord starts quickly merging into my lane at my left front wheel so I hit the brakes and layer on the horn. Kept moving over then he/she stood on her brakes while doing it. Got down to ~20mph from about 70 and I was in a giant cloud of smoke in a black car with weak tail lamps. Seems that once I was practically stopped, the other car sped off. It took 1200 miles for the vibration to subside. Then about a week later, someone slammed on their brakes for someone who was giving real thought to considering crossing the street. Locked them up at 10 mph. The vibration was still there when I sold the car.

I'm a huge fan of ABS. I know how to modulate the pedal and everything but I'd much prefer to have it.

My work van sniffs the air we're traveling through. I smell bad transmissions, clutches stuck brakes, anti freeze. Lotsa diesel. Occasional pot or perfume.

No, but my bet would be on the mouse for most views and the Buyer/Seller feedback monstrosity for most comments probably.

This has to be the most brilliantly hilarious ad for a toilet I've ever seen. FWIW - we have American Standards in our house. Even the water saver one flushes like a champ. Actually, that one flushes the best out of the whole lot.

Someone posted that on FB last week; I about lost it at the end!

We have an Eljer Titan Pro (gotta love the names they give these things!) in the main floor bathroom at our house. The sales collateral on it claimed it could handle 24 golf balls in a single flush. We haven't tried that, but it handles other stuff with no problems whatsoever. Except the rapid flush rate causes other problems elsewhere in the house...
(no, I haven't fixed that yet; not at all excited about plumbing, especially when it involves cutting holes in concrete.)
