It's looking nice. I think color matched mirrors is the way to go on darker cars like that, with black there wouldn't be enough contrast and it seems like it would look like a mistake or something. Idk- lighter colors like red or white, sure, but it's all about the contrast, just like chrome euros will look sick on that and way better than color matched IMO.

I had to do something with the mirrors, I think they will look good. I didn't want to shadow line the car.

Here are some early pictures . With the euro lights and style 9 wheels. my 88 535i came with like new metric tires and bottle caps. The day I got it home, I installed my style 9s and soon after, the euro lights and Dinan stainless steel exhaust.
My car was now a some what a Dinan S3 with 12 Dinan points.
Crappy Blackberry pics
Its the first time my car has been at home in almost two years.
The work has paid for, car is in my hands. I'm not publicly posting what it cost. So ask me any questions except the final bill. Any way, it still is not complete.
But home.
Not to bring this up again.. But I really liked your style 9s in their original color... Body color wheels are a no-no in my opinion!
Glad to hear the car is finally at home!!
I know you don't want to share the cost of repairs, but did the owner of the car wash at least help out since it was his employee who destroyed your baby in the first place?

Yes he did take care of the cost of the repairs, I spent a little extra on a few things my self. And Ill pay for the rest of the work. My style 9s were silver then, pearl gray, now they are body color. The Pearl gray looked really cool in some light and really off in other lights.
I think the body color looks good with the chrome. Ive had the wheels for 11yrs, there is no way I'm going back to silver.
I originally wanted them to look like black chrome. But they looked almost body color.
