Well, we got to the final part of the story about the trip to the Retro-Minsk festival
Early Monday morning, having breakfast and collecting all our things, we started loading Hot Rod onto a trailer.
Nearly 11 o'clock we moved towards Moscow
The weather in Belarus, to be fair, was much better than in Moscow. It is warm, sunny, beautifully blooming meadows with some kind of agricultural culture.
Several photos "from wheels"
Russian goverment border
One of several stops
If I went to Minsk alone and only one stop was enough for me, then we stayed with voracious Americans much more often.
We arrived in Moscow, drove along the toll road.
They had a couple of races with a Chevrolet Chevell, but it's more just for fun, because 7.3 manual transmission versus 3.2 automatic transmission, in general, you can't really compete)))
The fuel consumption back and forth when measured at 1500 km was 10.3 l / 100 km
Decent indicator, as for me)))

Hello friends! )))
Well, in addition to the amenities in the form of various festivals and exhibitions, there are also minor troubles that require attention, or standard routine and almost routine procedures.
In particular, on the way home from Minsk, the eyelet for attaching the sled on the passenger seat was broken. There is nothing terrible here, I knew that the eyes in this case were a weak point due to the fault of one of the previous owners, who digested them extremely poorly (apparently the sled was for another car earlier)
Before:
After:
Then finally changed last year's tires, which no longer hinted, but actually screamed about they needed to be replace ASAP
Before:
After:
When I was driving home I met this on the road - looks cool ))

After changing tyres I drived to another service where I repair my daily driver SUBARU Forester to make wheel alignment.
First of all prepared the rods on the lift and only then on the machine.
Bottom line: everything was adjusted and set according to parameters, but all 3 rods were "sentenced" to be replaced in the near future ... ((
On the way home I met w140 Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse

A lot of attention over the past week has been paid to my beloved e23)))
In particular, I also changed the engine oil, oil filter, air filter.
Then I went to pick up the stickers for my festival.
The printing house was located on the territory of an old factory, which is now partly being demolished and reconstructed, so I took some interesting photos.

Elimination of minor flaws.
The first trifle that was eliminated is the gutter self-tapping plug that is missing on one side.
My friend gave me brand new original plugs))
Now beauty and order))
The next little thing that has long been annoying is the missing caps for the center hole of the discs. I was looking for originals or something similar to them for a long time, in the end I spat and picked up, let's say, a custom version)))
When I washed the car, the discs with these caps played beautifully in the sun - as if the caps should be like this))
Fixed the shortcomings of installing the front left inner decorative lining of the roof rack (windshield pillars). A piece of insulation was sticking out from below.
On top, she treacherously fell off, which is clearly visible in the frames of the news release.
As a result, I removed, corrected, installed over a new one - neatly and beautifully))
There was no decorative trim under the driver's side mirror. It has been in the glove compartment since the moment you bought the car - just one of those little things that takes a minute, but you always forget about it. In general - fixed)))
The plans include the elimination of a few more details. But that's all for now. Later I will take on their elimination, then I will write what exactly))

The BMW-Festival was held over the weekend, and therefore you can summarize it))
I left early in the morning to have time to wash the car.
And I already went to the festival in a clean car.
At the festival I was met by this charming piece of fur))
Further, in general, there will be no significant storytelling - see the photo. There were quite a few decent and interesting cars, but they hardly entered the top 20.
This car has my copy of Zender BMW e28 front spoiler.
Radio-controlled mini-BMWs))) I've never met so many of these toys in the body of BMW modells
M5 e39, M5 e34, M3 e36
Original Alpina e31
They call her ''Batmobile'' )))
This car has my copy of BMW e12 Kamei Front spoiler
This car has my copy of BMW e28 Alpina Front spoiler
And this is the end of part 1
Part 2 comming soon )))

On this dent I held the 3rd annual All-Russian festival of classic cars "Young-Timer-Fest 2017"
To be honest, for me personally, as for the organizer of this whole event, July 21 and 22 passed in one breath and not even as one day, but as, probably, some quarter of an hour!
Already late in the evening after the festival at home, washing in front of the mirror in the bathroom, there came some awareness of what had happened over the past 2 days and an understanding of the globality of the last festival began to appear, from which, as they say, goosebumps ran, but the most important part was already over!
Let's sum up and see what happened in the end ))
On this day, at my festival, the competition of the II stage in Retro Slalom was held for the SternKlassik Cup 2017
I stand on the stage to the right. On the left is our host.
Many competitions and inter-club competitions have been held.
Russian ElCamino on a base of GAZ-24 Volga
Now, briefly about the statistics - we have collected 300 cars this year!
Yes, in spite of everything, even on the paid entrance because of which some predicted a failure for us, the festival has grown by 50 cars in comparison with last year!
I repeat, "we are not like that - this is how life is."
And if last year we managed to get a site for free, then this year, unfortunately, it did not work, but at least the price for us was made real and the festival remained in the center of the capital, which is very great!
Well, now for a little festival atmosphere! )))

Hello friends!
Earlier I already mentioned that the car again got on the set, already the 2nd this year.
The plot at the time of the conclusion of the agreements was practically unknown to me - they say, just an overview. At that time I did not pin great hopes on this meeting and, frankly speaking, I believed that the probability of getting another low-quality product at the exit is very high...
However, it turned out on the spot that the review was conceived as very, very not trivial. Even then I realized that among all that Yu-Tubovskaya boredom, which we are used to seeing under the proud name "video review" or "test drive" - this is a really fresh and interesting product!
And now - the video is ready!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQUYO_Jvduk
Personally, I wish this show good luck, if they can stay the same non-standard, then they really have every chance of success! )))

Hello friends!
Those who follow my notes on other cars are aware that due to certain circumstances, for the last couple of months, I drive the e23 every day! From that, the mileage on the odometer began to increase at a very, very impressive pace, and not a trace remained of the former 81.700 km.
But I have no regrets))
I made the car for myself and for the pleasure of using it, which at the moment fully meets my expectations))
So, this post is more for reference, more detailed reports will be further in separate entries.
Now, as they say, let's get to the point.
Yes, the car crossed the line in the first 100,000 km
It happened on Thursday, August 17, on the way to Yaroslavl, where I went with a friend to inspect the e34 of interest to him, which ultimately disappointed us and we left back.
In the meantime, here is a photo of my authorship.
Then there was a trip to the Autostrada festival in the city of Kaluga on August 19 (there will also be a separate entry with photos)
After Kaluga, a night photoset in Moscow.
And yesterday I went to Tver to try to shoot at the Raek estate, but, unfortunately, I didn't manage to get to the estate itself.
But it was not for nothing that the car traveled so many kilometers - as a result, they made a photoset near the sand pit. It turned out interesting. Later there will be a separate trip report with photos.
Later I will talk about the moments of daily operation and current problems that appeared in the process. There were not many problems, some of them have already been eliminated, some are being eliminated, something is awaiting the arrival of spare parts. I will also tell you more in a separate post very soon.
