So who has to do what before TexFest?

Here's my list:

1. Subframe bushings. I rented the tool so if anyone wants to do theirs while I've got it, let me know.
1.5. While I'm at it, replace the dog bones
2. Finish the shadowline
3. Tuck the bumpers
4. Rotate tires
5. Change oil
6. Change transmission fluid

There's probably a few more things I'm forgetting at the moment.

 more E34s in the list!

On to my to do list:

1. Mishimoto M3 aluminium rad
2. E60 545i SSK + ZHP knob
3. Diff output seals (have postponed for a while, just tooo damn hot in the garage. Note to self: don't cut corners, could have done those when I installed in the first place!)
4. Heater core (need to take the whole interior apart)
5. Buy an E28 ;)

Well, it looks like my wife's shenanigans over the weekend have seriously imperiled my chances of going; I'm pressing forward, but may have to bail depending on how things go with her recovery. Not quite ready to :bawl: yet, but...

When the topic came up this afternoon, I told her that if she really really really didn't want to go, and really, really, really, really, didn't want me to go, all she had to do was say so; no need for all the drama. That earned me a bruise on my right arm. And that bruise is a sign she's feeling much better. ;)

nik77356, when/time are you coming down? Tentatively we'll be in Austin near the airport headed down sometime Friday. Maybe we can connect? If we get overly ambitious, there is a small chance of running down to San Antonio Friday morning to check out what Roosevelt's has in inventory. :heehee:

Paging Brad D., what's your status man! Hope to see ya there. ;)

I'll actually be coming from the Houston area. I've never heard of Roosevelt's, but I know Bimmers and Benzes on the south side tends to have a good stock of a lot of older cars.

Crap that sux. I was hoping to get in on a mini caravan of sorts.

Perhaps it's more commonly called "pick-n-pull" in that neck of the woods. This is the location I'm thinking of HERE I guess I make it a habit of visiting there everytime I'm in Texas & have occassionally found a few trinkets.

I need to paint my car. You will all see why soon enough. The upside is I can park it wherever I want and not worry about it. :D

don't think i can have a tune done and enough driving done in time on the m6 to be happy with a 800 mile round trip, nor enough time for fabricating a bracket for the replacement supercharger on the e30 and enough shake down time for it (old blower ate itself again and am done with it). one of these days i wont have a good enough excuse and will show up at one of these things

You guys should try to make it!!! The boys from Nebraska will be there as well for your entertainment! Honestly, this is one show that I now look forward to yearly. It's an absolutely blast & the 14 hour drive was totally worth it last year for me!

\edit

I may have a picture somewhere depicting how much fun I really had. I'm guessing the statute of limitations has expired by now & I'll have no issues with Boss Hogg or Roscoe P. Coltrane.
