Had New York tags. Kind of rare to see a vintage Lada on the roads in this country.

Off Road Carter what is that sleek white coupe in the 2nd frame? TIA I was rolling the twisty at a legal speed. Having a GPS monitoring my work Transit has taken some of the fun out of my job. I get nasty grams from my boss because I lead the outfit in speeding and braking events. I spied a '57 Pontiac Chieftan wagon. Resto modded in the same color yellow as Harrison Ford's deuce coupe in American Graffiti Parked next to it was mouse colored 62 Lark . Love my Studibagels I do. Was that a fer real Avanti? wuzzat a ratted out red Champion or a 53 Chebbie? Chas? Down the road was a 63 Dart wagon . I cut through Rayham and the 2 lawn ornaments are there A nice looking Willys Overland Wagon hasn't moved in the last 5 yrs. One of these days I should knock on his door. At the of the rd before it hits 44 is the chassis and cab of a 37ish Ford pickup. No engine, but a Fox mustang with no plates was in the driveway today. DON''T DO IT!!!

Hey Mike W. you would have loved the Type 3 square back, I saw it parked. Bright blue metal flake . I don't think I've seen one in 20 yrs.. Totally unmistakable silhouette. Even after all these yrs. It was an early one with a bus engine and twin carbs.. Stewie McDonald had a dark blue one in HS. Total death traps. Didn't matter, we were immortal in those days.

This car stood out because of where it is parked. I have seen quite a bit of sketchy activity on this street so seeing this clean e9 was a pleasant surprise. Apologies for the crappy photography.

Saw a yellow Lamborghini (Aventador, I think) on Interstate 64 East, between Milton and Hurricane today. Second Italian exotic I've seen this month, I saw a Ferrari (something red and modern) on US Rt. 60 just outside of Huntington two weeks ago. Sounded awesome. No time to snap pics, wish I could've!

Such cars, while not entirely unheard of, are extremely rare in this area. I remember seeing a white Lamborghini Countach on the same stretch of interstate about 20 years ago while I was home on leave. It was a real one, because I remember how remarkably wide the rear tires were!

2. A Buick powered Indy car, sort of scraggly around the edges but it is still run on a regular basis.

Hold your excitement but I saw a 2000 something Suzuki Esteem wagon parked in my buddy's neighborhood.



I've seen more Lamborghini's parked on the street in Minneapolis just this year than I have seen Suzuki Esteem wagons in my entire car-spotting life. In fact, I have now seen as many LaForza SUVs in Minneapolis as I have seen Suzuki Esteem wagons. One.

Visiting the relatives in Holland this week, and spent a little time at the beach in Den Haag on Wednesday; heard a throaty V8 working hard, and saw this '60-something Ford driving out of the sand. It's always a little surreal seeing the old American iron on this side of the Atlantic.

The most interesting car I saw yesterday was an 80's Chevy van that was absolutely festooned with various-sized carvings and other figural eagles (the birds, not the football players ). Sadly, it was pulled off on the shoulder and I could not snap a picture of it, but here is a picture of the van and it's owner from another site in 2010. There are more eagles on the van now - as I remember it, there was very little paint visible through the many eagles on the surface:




One of the hypercars was in the garage at the office yesterday. This guy also has a MacLaren, a Lambo, and other assorted crazy-expensive stuff. This one is a Ferrari, I don't know what model. Maybe it gets the ladies moist, and I hope it serves as Viagra for the owner, but they don't do much for me. I guess if I drove it I might feel different?



Still - that is one sexy beast of an engine, ain't it?

Awesome riveted roadster. As I pulled into a space at my first stop. I saw a the rear of an early 30s touring car. It was unrestored except for a new top. There were no identifying marks on the greyish green body , There was a 3" rip in a rear fender at the peak of the RR fender. It was a dual cowl phaeton. Big like a Chrysler or a Buick of the era. I had to read the name off the hub caps. Franklin , powered by a huge air cooled I 4. The owner said he bought the car in 1950 drove it daily for yrs then only in the summer.

Driving through Canton, SD, a couple of days ago I saw a clapped out 1st gen Supra with a monster reverse hood cowl and side pipes. No photo; didn't want to break my camera.


Edit: It's a 3rd gen Supra, not a 1st gen.

All of these were taken in La Mesa today with the exception of the EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle and the car with Baja plates. La Mesa is an eastern suburb of San Diego and 90% of the cars I’ve posted in this thread were taken there. It must be something in the water.

IMO, it's criminal the top wasn't down on the VW.
