I think I would have wanted the M5 to be deemed total and get a new one. Someone now has a salvage title M5 for an accident that wasn't even their fault...I wouldn't be too happy. Last I heard, parts and labor was approaching $40k
I realize this doesn't make any sense...the car is being fixed, was not totalled

Saw an '80-something Ferrari 308GTB (I think) in red zipping through our little village this afternoon. Heard the exhaust note, and looked in time to see it go past the intersection I just walked through; dang that sounded nice.

Then tonight I drove past a house on the other side of the valley that had an honest-to-God e23 parked in the drive. Didn't look to be in particularly great shape, but it did look like it had been driven recently. Before seeing that car tonight, the oldest BMW I've seen here is an e30. Still haven't seen a single e28. :(

I stopped by the dealer the other night and they had three i8's. I didn't deem them worthy of posting in this thread, my personal opinion.

Yesterday, as I was bopping onto the bottom of rt 128 I saw a low cloud covering the left hand lane in the southbound lane. It was a 20 yr old Camry with probably a blown HG from the way the steam was coming out the tailpipe. The car behind him was getting a coolant bath.

Pretty common for an out-of-the-ordinary car. Doesn't make the want any less strong.

Today in downtown Detroit on Woodward Avenue in Cadillac Center, I saw a tastefully built GTR, a new Maserati Ghibli, a large-winged 350Z in Orange, and one or two others that have now escaped me.

I know which car is the coolest in that photo.

(Note that I didn't say "fastest" or "most likely to impress others".)

On the way to lunch today, I couldn’t tell if it was a ’67 or ’68.
You can’t tell from the shitty picture but it was in nice shape with the original black plates. Even the sequential turn signals worked (well, at least the right one did).

I Googled ‘F5’ and it’s a kit car as expected. But still…

Saw a '71-ish Chevy Impala with black CA plates yesterday, which is unusual as this is Louisiana.

This guy crossed in front of me yesterday. Not sure if he's local to my town? We've got a '57 Fairlane 4-door in white and baby blue, so it was quite cool to see a 2-door wagon go by. One rarely sees Fords, and I don't remember the last 50's wagon I have seen.....
