It's definitely a kit car. Unfortunately, I meant to Google the name on the back of the car but forgot what it was. The guy who owned it definitely looked like the kind of person that would own a car like this.

Hupmobile, made in Detroit.

Saw an i8 when we were in the Rover coming home from a car show Sunday. Going the other way on 99E in Canby. Y'all are supposed to be car guys, and you don't know a Hupmobile when you see one? That grille/headlamp treatment is a dead giveaway.

Newish Maserati sporting a SUPER polished steel/aluminum finish

I was driving down one of the canyons back towards Beverly Hills last Friday when the sun shone off this thing and temporarily blinded me.
As I was waiting to turn left, I quickly grabbed my phone and snapped this; pic doesn't do the finish justice and relay just how intense this was. Not to mention how much of a hazard it really was.

I actually got a tour of the Fisker factory about 3 years ago. I could smell failure.

But it is a pretty car, especially compared to those Citroens.

While on the local CCA chapter's fall drive this past Saturday, saw a Chevrolet Vega operating under its own power!

I was temporarily stunned and could not recover in time to get a pic. It was red.

Yesterday we were passed by what I think was a Ferrari FF in red, but it was moving fast enough that there's no way to be sure. Also saw what appeared to be a Jaguar E-type on the road just ahead of us, but we couldn't squeeze in close enough to confirm.

I'm starting to see more and more of them on the LA streets over this summer. While the lines are not the greatest, what makes them ugly is the two-toned color scheme. The ones I've seen in a monolithic dark color (black or dark blue) are not as bad looking as this photo.

However nowhere near its' souped up, bigger, more sophisticated cousin the i8. Those are awesome looking in person.
