We've been in Europe for almost two weeks, and here's a list of what I can remember:

Porsche Panamera (x2.) First time I've seen that car in the flesh, and they are BIG;
Ferrari something-or-other. It blasted past me fast enough on the autobahn that all I saw was red and that it was a Ferrari;
Unimogs are pretty much everywhere; still cool though!
Saw one old Unimog in the near Neuschwanstein that looked much shorter & smaller than even the older ones; no charge on the camera battery so I missed grabbing a photo of it;
Lotus 7;
More odd Renaut, Citroen, Rover, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Nissan, Opel, etc... models that I'd never heard of than you can shake a stick at;
Lots of weird three-wheeled vehicles;
There's more, but no time right now...

First time I've ever seen one of these outside a museum; driving down the Swiss expressway at about 100 kph!

saw an unbelievably clean early 90's Dodge caravan. It was beige and had some kick-ass aluminum running boards. No rust, looked to be all original.

Not a car, but saw a guy climbing on his Royal Enfield. Don't see many around here.

I saw a completely resto'ed Willys Jeepster as I passed through town on my way home this afternoon. Wide whitewalls and everything.

Naw, I don't see a Z, I see a Capri or a Capri II.

On the sighting side, in a walk thru the neighborhood today I saw a Ford Falcon Van. Not Econoline, Falcon. :shock: Those weren't common even when they were current! I'm not sure if it has 13" or 14" tires. :laugh: I think 13".

Yesterday I drove home alongside an Exige. It was pastel "Push-up" orange with a wide brown stripe down the middle.

Otherwise, a cool car.

A slightly rusty Citroen DS pulling a trailer, followed by a very clean looking Citroen 2CV. Even my BIL was impressed by the sight; he lives here and said you never see cars like that anymore.

This being unloaded from a flatbed truck in front of one of my neighbor's house:

He just bought it at an auction. He was driving it home on the freeway and the right front tire threw its tread all over the interstate. Its a pretty clean example, supposedly original, and claimed to be purchased from the original owner's estate.

PowerGlide 2-Speed auto, inline 6, no cats. No valve clicking at all and the engine runs really smooth from the few minutes I was there.

There's a Citroën 2CV6 Special I see almost daily that belongs to a guy who runs a local French Restaurant.

Today I saw a red Jaguar XK120 (140? 150?) roadster at the grocery store. The sky looked ominous, and the driver was zipping up the cover. He didn't seem too concerned.

First off, let me say that I respect 'a' as not only a long time member here but you seem to have a deep knowledge of cars so I'm not trying to detract from that at all.

So my internet research revealed this image (and many like it) of a '53 Chevy 210:

Image

And then an internet image of a '54 Chevy 210:

Image

The two biggest things I notice are the turn signals are round in the '53 but rectangles in the '54 and the trim around the headlights also appears different from model to model. Here's the pic of my neighbor's car again so you don't have to scroll up:

So does that mean Judgement Day is postponed or should I still plan on partying like it's 1999 on Friday night?

Saw a Bing Streetside camera car (a VW Golf wagon with a funky gizmo on top) driving on the A12 on the way back from Scheveningen, Netherlands, this afternoon.

Image

It looked like the camera on top was spinning, so I'll be checking back later to see if a dark blue Opel Zafira shows up online!

About fifteen minutes ago - and yesterday afternoon - one of these:

Orange with some old guy with a big ol' beard on it. My daughter had to laugh. At least I waited 'til he wasn't looking at us.
