Another weekend passed by, here is the progress:

Image

Image

I cleaned the engine bay, the brake lines, the steering gear, the front axle support, and everything else. Then i mounted the factory m30 expansion tank console, and painted the engine bay to the car's colour. And i put back the sound insulation too.

After that i put everything back to it's place after some cleaning. The master brake cylinder is the biggest one.
And i bandaged all of the cables to one loom, it is much more nicer than before.

Nice height, and lovely color...

I am not a fan of those rims, but that is a personal issue.

Beautiful ride, good luck with it. Keep posting pictures!

Wow, it looks like that i forgot to post the news in this garage. Sso:

Engine is complete with every tube and cable, ready to run, i started it already last weekend, and had it run about half an hour.

Image

Image

Some new stuff for the car, my individual coilovers, my brand new OEM 535i exhaust system( expensive as hell), and some brake stuff. My brake master cylinder is from a 535i, and the brake calipers are from an e34 530i V8, everything is sanded and repaired.

Image

Image

Image

Image

My rear suspension, the subframe is from a 528i(m30b28), and the trailing arms from a E34, everything is sanded and repainted, all of the pitman arms, bearings will be changed to new ones.

Image

Image

And finally, the new struts mounted. The biggest drop is under about 2 centimeters from the last one(this):

Image

I have to change the tyres from 225/45 to 215/45(225/40 would be the perfect, but it's hard to find in Hungary) and to put about 10mm spacers to the front to make enough space for the springs.

And now i am waiting for the new output shafts.
I'm sorry that my English is not the best, i'm tired and this is the last day before my semester, i'm a little bit drunk, i just wanted to post my progress. And now back to the party.

Dude, I'm all about lowered E28s, hell mine is so low I once knocked off the entire exhaust system..anyway...
I think your car looked fantastic with the turbines and this ride height (pic below), maybe 10mm lower, if any. The car is SEXY!
I wish i had the time to do a resto like yours.
This is my favorite iteration of your car

Are those stock springs you're using with the coilovers?

man I like your car and the color
the picture that I like the most is the one that your car is sitting behind that LADA NIVA
your car is so low that the LADA looks like a 'BIG' SUV

thank you guys for the kind words, i had some crazy idea about the look, but then i always get back to the right way :D

Hopefully i can put on the wheels tomorrow, after that i need to refinish my front apron(the old one was cut for a better fitment for the alpina spoiler), install clear blinker lenses, install the covers next to the foglamps, and remount the front m5 spoiler.

I'm thinking on putting the factory decor stripes on too.

and the finished wheel set: Ford tibetan gold, with matte finish

They are all gold in sunshine, and brown like this at sunset.
