Thanks guys for the motivation!

I´ll leave a race or (hope not) damage report after the weekends activities...

Weather forecast points out to be sunny, and if i can get some temperature in the old 13" wide slick tyres, well then it might work out...

After 12 years on the track with different BMW racecars we made the desicion to pause the race teams activities and end the E28 M5 saga as for now.

The M5 CSL racecar with 12 wheels, spare slick/rain/inters, lots of mechanical parts, molds and even the Chevy race van are up for sale as a complete set.
All in flawless mint condition and race ready.

Thanks for all the cheers over the years of the E28 M5 CSL was built and raced with us.

An advert for the whole shaboom can be found over HERE

Don't worry. It will go to someone whose idea of fashion is a dishtowel and a fanbelt who will turn it into the world's fastest car bomb. Image

Hey Matt. I have followed your build and your racing career with this car. I must say it is one if not the best e28 race car that I have seen thus far. I wish you all the best in the sale of the E28 CSL to someone who will appreciate it's very unique looks in the BMW race world. Whats the next project Matt? ;) Ted in T.O.

I know I was subscribed to this thread.
Sorry to hear about the sabbatical, you were very entertaining to those of us who can't venture off into the race world.
We'll be watching for the next chapter though... :D

Hey guys!

Racing season is now ended, and out of six races this year, we achieved three podium places.
Its pretty ok with the competition taken in consideration. We are racing former WTCC cars and M3 GTR hybrids with it, so at some tracks we suffer from a huge lack of power, but om some tracks mechanical grip seem to be more important, and then we are game...

Car still sits alone in our workshop, still without any new owner.

A few interested people have been contacting us, and not to mention all the people wanting to buy body kits from our molds...
To clarify this, we do not sell parts from the molds until the car has been sold, and when its being sold, the new owner can decide if he like to purchase the molds with the car or not.
Since the car is 100% unique, we do not want to see a clone out there as long as we are the owner of her, that we leave for the next owner to decide.

I suppose that selling about 15 kits of the molds, would probably pay for the car itself, since the bids we get for a complete set of fenders and front airdam is around 2500-3000 Euro, and people from Japan, Australia and the US to mention a few have been interested in the purchase of them.

Nice to see that the car is being apreciated by so many.
And if its still here when spring arrives, it might just be raced again :D

My favorite versions of this car. The all-white is SEX for me.
Image
And these wheels give it somewhat of a new-school flare.

Combine the white body with the white/black wheels...
I need a cigarette now!!!

That powder-coat is delicious. Great detail work on both engines

bmw4aaron has installed a V12 with a 6 speed into his E28. It requires quite a bit of work, but that never stopped you before. The tunnel must be made larger to fit the transmission (unless you modify a different transmission to fit.)

Is that a 5.0L? I think the 3.6 will be more powerful unless you have done some serious work to that V12.

Mats, as mush as I like your car but I think that is wrong choice of engine, not that big lump :tsk: , I would suggest to swap in a S54 or an e34 Alpina BiTurbo engine in your car. You would get way more power with slight modification (north of 450 HP), Also the car wouldn’t be nose heavy eighther.

You sure about that?

If it were he wouldn't have posted that it was 5000cc.
It also does not appear to have the S70 injection rail cover.

Apart from that, I don't know how you could possibly tell if it was an S70 by looking at it.

The M70 weighs about as much as an M30 with two turbos hung on it.
