That's a fine philosophy along the lines of "we should just love one another and get along," but helping out a buyer who might be ignorant of such conditions is a good idea, in spite of whether the person who brought it up was tactless.

It is interesting that Shawn refuses to acknowledge what most of us can see about the console. I'd bet his defenders can see it as well, but want to argue the point of non-interference.

well im kinda kiddin but still, im talkin about the insane personal attacks
That's the best part of this site. It's real. No PC bullshack. Politically Correct - "being more afraid of the consequences of speaking the truth, than the consequences of the truth itself".

Rich Euro M5 wrote:I'm going to offer up my personal observations from a meeting I had with Chris Kohler and Mark "Eurowannabe". And a parts dealing I had in the past with Chef Shawn.

First the Chris and Mark encounter.

I meet them along with Ray at one of the chain pubs near Awahtukee, Az. I've known Ray for several years and he's a great guy, I hadn't met Mark or Chris. We sat around, traded lies, and tossed down a few, it was a decent first meeting. Mark bragged up his toys, the Euro bumpered 535i and tricked out '02 he owned or had owned. Ray came out in a lovely Euro 635csi he had just stolen., I mean acquired from a gent in Cali. Mark and Chris seemed to be decent fellows, that is until the check came.

One thing I noticed is how Mark didn't put in his fair share of the tab. I'm sure everyone has run into this type, the guy in a group that orders the most expensive item on the menu, drinks the most, and then wants to split the bill 4 ways. Chris covered Mark's portion of the tab. This left an impresson with me since about Mark's personality. So who's the asshole ?

I've had numerous dealings with Chris since then purchasing parts, and not just the small trinkets. I've sent $200 his way at least once, and he's always provided exactly what he's advertising. I would do business with Chris anytime.

Now my experience with Chef Shawn.

Chef Shawn has not been forth comiing regarding the parts he sells on this forum on many occassions. The most over the top example was him listing a RHD drive dash and not clearly identify it as such. I've also had my own experience with Chef Shawn. He had Euro bumpers and I had a G265. We each had something the other had of equivilant value and agreed to a trade. For tracking and insurance reasons, I would only ship via FedEx Ground. He kept insisting on shipping the bumpers via Greyhound to save a few bucks. Greyhound is a major hassle for me, while FedEx ground would deliver to my home address. I even offered to pay the difference between the Greyhound and FedEx Ground shipping charges, but Chef Shawn wouldn't budge from Greyhound. In addition Chef Shawn was hesitant to send me high resolution photos of the bumpers and when he finally did, there were issues that he didn't clearly divulge in his initial listing on the forum. This in combination with his refusal to compromise on the shipping was the deal killer. I have refused to consider purchasing anything, no matter how desirable the item from Chef Shawn since that time.

Just my $.02

Rich

P.S. Kyle isn't an asshole, he's a Coonass and doesn't get laid enough.
 No excuse for not pulling your weight on the check.

Kyle and Chris are about as sharp as they come when it comes to E28's and many many other subjects. I have great respect for both of them. I think they get bored with stupid people.

Everything still works at my age thankfully, the needle is just enough to cover my minuscule wang in case a officer sees me in public. I read in MPH.

I love this site. I have tremendous respect for almost everyone here. Most of you know more about e28's than I ever will. To that end, I have asked for and received much assistance with my '88 resurrection.

I have purchased parts, exchanged ideas...and been taught much from all of you.

I have a good idea who to trust here, and who not to...

Thanks guys, you know who you are.

Chefshawn, that massive pic post was moderately amusing on the Gen Conversation area (I like hot chicks and big tits as much as any straight male), but why post it here too?

Now you're acting a bit like a troll. :rotz:
