Soon... i just got my starter welded up...
we just got first snow in here.... im considering about changing small turbo for winter use... big one spools up too badly and i just dont have time to make my biturbo setup operational...

Sweet project man. I did something similar with a sequential turbo homeade jet engine. One thing I did different though is I had my small turbo forcing air into the big one instead of relying on vacuum, then an actuator opened once the big guy was boosting. I changed to this because I was getting a pressure lull when the big turbo was kicking in, because its still pushing air through the small one as well as to the motor. I don't have any pictures but if you're interest at all I can draw up a quick diagram of how mine went.

Gosh! i almost forgot those diy jet engines
we had parts for one.... size was huge
Holset 4LEK with combustion chamber made from 6kg fire extinguisher with afterburner made from 12kg fire extinguisher!!!!

Theres a dyno day down the road from me the 24th... hoping to have it ready for then!!! 500$ prize to biggest diesel H.P! lots of trucks though so i wouldnt win, but still hoping for 250hp+ with hx35 and Cummins cam rotor. we will see if the trans holds

I got something for next summer...
Dual 3" exhaust tips... folded down... like in diesels usually!

Fuel capasitor chamber (this will delete irritating air in fuel system problem in e28)

Little bit finishing with ic...

fuel lines and electrics for intank lift pump

i cleaned my raid steering wheel, now it look like a new one!

3" stainless steel exhaust tip

Fuel filter, capacitor tank and fuel pressure regulator

Little bit work in this section still... but not so much

i know that some people likes my wheels... so here it is again...

What lift pump do you use in the tank? And by the way, your dual exaust tip looks awesome when it's mounted in place! Usually i'm not a big fan of dual pipes, but in this case it looks real raw!

pump is from opel (injected engine)
i recommend to use walbro 225 intank or external pump with pressure regulator

after i had leak with mls gasket... i refurbished old mls gasket and glued it between the layers etc.... but few new pics...
tiny wear in cam

water circulation modifications... cold engine circuit deleted

Studs tightened after cleaning and refurbising of mls gasket

Head gasket glue

always when you take timing belt of or doing some job with timing belt etc... check your ip timing with dial

I had few issues in midsummer but i fixed it before morning...
New parts for my engine...
Bosch 044 lift pump and pre filter before pump, cheap oil pressure gauge is for fuel pressure...
My new freebie wheels 17" x 8.5"
actually these are going to my lada racer

How much boos can this beast handle? What is the original 524td boost?
Btw. As a "Finn Man" I am curious to know what whreabouts are you from? I could not be more specific in my Englihs expression

Boost is normally about 2.5bar but it can get up to 2.8bar
stock engine has 0.8bar
