That works. I wasn't actually "part" of the drive down friday but hey who knows?

Breakfast sounds good man. You must be heading out EARLY as hell saturday in order to meet us there.... its 4 hours from here roughly. You?

When you meet there just look for the pregnant wife and my long-blonde-haired 2 year old. And the bahama-beige BMW. Cant miss us!

I won't be there, but Lee Highsmith with Atlantic-Euro.com, a GlossHaus partner, will be conducting two GlossHaus Demonstrations while there. Stop by if you get a chance.

Also, be sure and register for the raffle because several GlossHaus products will be raffled off to support the event's charity.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty excited for this. Car seems to be staying relatively cool, especially with the new water pump, 75degree Thermostat, Sachs fan clutch, and seems to burn less oil after the switch to Mobil 1 15W-50.

Looking forward to meeting you all on Friday!

Ben,
Sweet! The ACS S5 is going to be there :alright:

On another note...I have heard from a buddy of mine in ATL that there are a lot of road construction projects on I-95 presently. So, be sure to check-out this link and AAA before setting-out on your trip to V@V

http://www.i95exitguide.com/alert/index.php

Gas Price Updates
http://www.i95exitguide.com/gas/index.php

If you're traveling via I-77, I-81, I-40, or I-85, I'm guessing similar information exists about road construction, fuel prices, etc.

Looks to be a really nice weekend. Weather for Fri. and Sat looks to be 55/75 with no rain. It is unseasonably cool here. I have never been to this event when it wasn't in the 90's. If anyone is changing their plans, adding/deleting people or cars, joining the drive at a different point, bringing all your friends Friday night, etc. and you have not already let me know, please shoot me a pm. Getting a firm count for the restuarants is like herding cats. Look forward to seeing you guys. Tim J

There seems to be a lot of interest in my Grant steering wheel and e28 hub. I'm selling it all for $50. So I will bring the wheel and if anyone is interested just find me and we'll talk. Here's the link for the pic:

I am coming from Canton, my buddy from Marietta. I guess we're meeting up somewhere on 285 or 85. I am not sure yet what time.

Thanks to all of you who made the trip to V@V this year. I had a great time and I hope you did as well. Many of you drove long distances to attend (and are still driving) and both Scott and I appreciate your participation. Special thanks to Mike Pugh who led our drive on Friday. Having a veteran drive leader was invaluable and Mike took an entire day out of his schedule with his friend Jeffery visiting from the Netherlands for us. Many thanks as well to Scott Sturdy and the NC 02Group who work tirelessly to pull off this event and keep it free and inclusive. I have never seen a more impressive group of vintage and semi-vintage BMW's as I did this weekend. Seeing all the tuner and euro cars together was E28 heaven for me. Thanks again for supporting V@V. Drive safely and enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend. Tim Jones

Here here, Tim (m-racer) Cheers to Scott, his wife, and colleagues for putting-on this great gathering of BMW enthusiasts and their cars. I had a wonderful weekend with my friends from this community who could make it. We enjoyed perfect weather, an excellent 5er drive (thanks m-racer & Mike Pugh), my 535is performed flawlessly, and the venue was top notch. I look forward to attending this event again in the coming years. Thanks again Tim for the very nice cap you provided for those who made "unofficial 5er drive" on Friday and for arranging the post-drive gathering at Foothills Brewery. It was nice to have our new 2002 friend from the Tampa Bay area, Phil Romano, provide his video of the 5er Drive for all to enjoy. The 5er drive video is rumored to be coming to YouTube or another host site in the near future. Justin_FL downloaded a copy and plans to edit it up for viewing.
Best,
Tim

I like to add my thanks to Tim, Mike, Scott, and everyone else associated with putting such a great event together. We just got home around 5am, we did the poker run on Sunday morning, and then spent some extra time in Charlotte. The Poker Run was another example of what a great guy Scott Sturdy is, it was fun and we saw a beautiful side of the Winston Salem area that we would have missed entirely otherwise. The turnout was small, but Scott was just as enthusiastic as ever.

Vintage at the Vineyards was everything Tim promised it would be and more, from the moment we caught up with the Friday morning 5erDrive it was top notch all the way. Seeing old friends, meeting new ones, beautiful venues and perfect weather made for an excellent weekend.

I would also like to thank my travelling companions Glen and Kelly, they were great to share a long trip in tight quarters with. And Glen was an iron man behind the wheel.

Likewise, thanks to all involved, Scott (we really enjoyed the poker rally!), Tim (the E28 events were awesome), Mike (the 5erdrive kicked ass), the event far exceeded my expectations, had a great time!

Daryl and Eve, thanks for joining us on the voyage, we loved the company!

Hi Guys,

I like to thank Tim and Scott for creating a nice gathering among other vintage BMWs for E28 guys at V&V, I enjoyed the event a lot, keep up the good work Tim. Also we enjoyed the usual late night party which was held mostly in our suite with the usual suspects in E28 gangs. :D

See you guys soon,

For my first BMW show ever attended... my wife and I were very pleased and it was the vacation from this shithole state (VA) that we desperately needed. Thanks to Scott for an awesome show and poker rally (sorry guys for almost mis-leading the pack down some wrong streets!).

Awesome show. Nice guys. For those of you here from mye28.com... you guys kick ass! Nice to finally meet y'all!

I'm happy to see it was a success! Please post pics for those who missed the fun. I was fortunate to have had a pre-quel to the event when the gang from Toronto visited my humble abode. E34's on the field, eh? There's hope for all of us.

Thanks guys!

Here are the pictures that Ted and Sia took on my camera:
http://flickr.com/photos/killerpm/sets/ ... 265517231/

I had a great time as well. We made it home great as well.

We left at 11:30 and I arrived home at 12:45a, so just around 12 hours I guess.

Only one hiccup as well, but it went fine

Possibly one of my favorite pics I have taken: (left to right)

Shawn D., Brent, Myself, and a guy in a US spec M5 I haven't met.

I had to use a URL to avoid having a large pic on the thread. Cheers!

Virginia, as you refer to as a "shothole state", may yet have a few goodies to offer. Keep an open mind. Find "The Classics on the James", Richmond.

VA hasn't been the best to me, with 95% of it being fuckups of mine, but still after 5 years here and traveling to every part of it, I don't like it. No thanks!
