I've got Sunday's 5erDrive posted and I'm kicking around the idea of driving up to Timberline Lodge at Mt Hood if the weather is good. Might be a nice opportunity to visit this iconic lodge.

If you're into classic films, the Timberline Lodge was the exterior set location for The Overlook Hotel from The Shining.

Well, we are now officially under the 1 week mark.
Just to follow up with the Caravan post, I have been hearing from some of the usual suspects along with some new ones and it looks like we are taking different routes/times of departures this year. At the moment it looks like it's going to be me and Austin leaving from SoCal on Thursday for the LA-Sacramento leg. From there up to Portland it looks like it's just us two again. If anyone wants to connect with us on either day (Thursday 7/16 or Friday 7/17) along the way, let me know. PM me for contact info (please do so before 9:00am on Thursday).

As to the return trip, I will be cutting my return trip back short as I have a massive 2 day client meeting starting on Wednesday 7/22 that I have to prep for. So I'm leaving Portland after the Sunday drive and driving south to Grants Pass, OR for overnight. I did this last year and I didn't get there until about 9:30pm that night; it was a long day driving. Monday 7/21 I am going to drive straight on through from Grants Pass, OR to LA (+/-10 hours). Anyone is welcome to join me if they can keep up; I'm reserving a room in Grants Pass and a second bed is the same cost so it's open.

Lots of last minute crap to deal with this weekend (what's left of it, but it's still light out) and this week.

The building at the state hospital where One Flew over the Cukoo's Nest was filmed is long gone. I got to watch the demo as I drove by it almost every day. I thought about swiping a few bricks, but decided against it.

Greetings from Lake Tahoe! It took just over 8 hours to get here from LA. Gorgeous weather.

Be warned guys: The number of truckers out there has certainly increased since I last made this trek. And they now seem to drive as though they own the road. For example, one truck is driving flat out at 65 in the slow lane. A second truck behind him decides to pass with a flat out speed of 66. The driver could not care less about all the traffic he's holding up while taking 5 minutes to complete his pass. Sometimes they elect to pass several slower moving trucks without any consideration for the mountain of cars they're holding up. This is on Hwy 5 where it's two lanes with a speed limit of 70.

Drive safely and bring large amounts of patience.

So I can pay off Chris Kohler? Its ported to large for a B34. Its genuine Dinan and powder coated gloss silver.
$250 cash, it was verified by BMW Portland.
Basically its a ported polished and power coated B35 intake. Work done by Dinan of a 1989 635csi.



Here are pictures when it was freshly installed. Now there are some discoloration from a small gas leak.
But its still nice and shiny. I don't know the exact bore specs on the work done by Dinan.

Ill be rolling in my sweet 98 Nissan Pathfinder. Ill bring it to the show .
