I'm texting him about it right now. Doesn't appear to be sold. It's not an M-sport, either.ac4000 wrote:Just wrote to him; it has been sold.tsmall07 wrote:Wow. It does look like it's a real M-Sport. Edit: He said he has a few people coming to look at it this afternoon. It looks like it will sell. I wish I had seen this on Sunday.
There appears to be a tinting discrepancy as well. Hard to say whether it's the same car from the pictures (my gut feeling is it isn't), but there's no question the car in the CL ad looks much better. Kinda glad he told me it was sold; might have wasted a two-hour round trip.tsmall07 wrote:He says the pics in the C'list ad are of this car, but I don't know if I believe him. He says he still has the t-stars for it, too. :dunno:ac4000 wrote:Edit: Did he add a pinstripe and swap out the wheels?
How do you get from Charlotte to DC and back in two hours?ac4000 wrote: Kinda glad he told me it was sold; might have wasted a two-hour round trip.
I probably wouldn't be able to make any money on the car, but if someone wants to just drive it, it's still a decent deal. The interior looks pretty nice.rmiddendorf wrote: This went from a potential good deal to one that reeks. Pass.
My M5 is unusually fast? Heh. I'm up north for the holidays.tsmall07 wrote:How do you get from Charlotte to DC and back in two hours?
If I end up looking at something else in DC and someone here is really interested, I might be able to fit in a test drive. (If I can get the seller to reply, of course.)tsmall07 wrote:I probably wouldn't be able to make any money on the car, but if someone wants to just drive it, it's still a decent deal. A similar advertisement was posted to M-Series.com and it is also a scam. AutoClassix stole the images from another classified listing and they were reposted on M-Series.com and Craigslist. Its also worth noting that the email address of the registered owner/ admin of the M-Series.com domain appears in the ad but it has not been removed from the site.1988 BMW M5 Black on Tan Excellent Condition 1 Owner All ...
