Replacement pushrod seal for power brake booster?

Post by LarryM »

Does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement pushrod seal for the power booster?

It appears that the OE booster is ATE part# 340014. I think they used to sell rebuild kits for these but I can't find any info.
The seal I'm looking for is the one on the left end (master cylinder end) of the booster:

Thank you for the links. I'll look into them. It would be nice to be able to buy just the pushrod seal.
If nothing works out, maybe the best thing is to either rebuild the booster or buy new ($$$).

There's a guy here, Jay I think is his name, that rebuilds them. I don't know if he sells parts or not, but even if he doesn't he might be cheaper to rebuild it than other alternatives.

The seals are out there, not that I know where to get them.

Yes, Jay Stratton. He doesn’t sell individual parts but does offer a rebuilding service at reasonable cost. He did a fine job on the rebuild of my PS pump years ago. With the price of a brand new booster, that might be the way to go if I’m unable to find a seal.
