I currently have bilstiens B8’s with lowering springs, and although I’m happy with the stance, the ride quality is a little too harsh for driving often.
Stumbled upon Austin’s thread about the euro cool setup (Boge’s with euro springs) and I’m about to order the parts, but I just wanted the boards opinion on a last min option.
I found that MCS makes 1 and 2 way adjustable coilovers, and I’m a big fan of their products for Porsche models. Just was wondering if anyone has any experience with that setup on their e28’s?
I would have them valve it for the street, and I think maybe it’s the best compromise with performance and comfort. Not really a fan of ground control offerings.
Any feedback or opinions would be awesome

I know of a guy that runs them on his track e28 M5 and loves them. Honestly you can't go wrong with MCS. I had them on my e39 M5 that I used street and track. Now they're on a dedicated track e39 M5. IMO if you can afford MCS's there should be no other consideration. LOL. That said, for a street only car they're probably overkill... but that's subjective - suspension compliance and tunability are very important for some people. Myself included, but at the same time, I probably wouldn't spring for them on my e28 M5 (no pun intended!).

MCS's are awesome - they make a fantastic damper. A more budget friendly alternative would be to have your Bilsteins revalved to match your spring rate. You've got to determine if your perceived harshness is because your spring rate is too high, or if it's because you're over/under damped.

Ive spent so much money on this car, that I might as well go all out and get the suspension right. I have eibachs currently. They aren't spine breaking harsh. Just a little too firm over city bumps when driving often, which I will be doing. It's just the tuning thats a headache. It took forever to get the setup just right on my 964. So some ptsd is trickling in.
I read some posts about ST springs but not sure how they compared to Eibachs.

Just an update, my car has been at VSR1 for months getting a new interior installed, and we decided to go with KW coilovers, which GC top hats that are more forgiving on the street. Going to lighter spring rates and a custom valving. Goal is to have the car have a little lean and fun on the street. Not wanting this car to be too stiff for the street.

I went thru multiple combinations from Bilstein HD and every spring from H&R , Eibachs, factory MTechnic and ST , then Bilstein Sports. Finally settled on Koni and MTechnic. Close second was Koni and ST… it was a dark day when Koni dropped us

I think this is going to be overkill... I just ordered CATuned coilovers, they have 30-way adjustable dampers and are only $1,200. Seems the vast majority of people like them. People say the middle setting is perfect, the softest setting is way softer than you want, and the firmest setting is firmer than you want.. AKA, there will be a setting perfect for you, for all occasions. Supposedly, they are just rebranded BCRacing. I plan on installing them in about 3 weeks, and I can let you know how they feel.
I suspect the H&R's are higher quality than CATuned. They are the only bolt-in option (they come pre-welded), but you gotta order them through the @leichtbauwerkstatt Instagram... I think they are $2,200. That's the route I would take if I were you.

Hands down, I love my MCS 2ways on my e28m5 track car. MCS used my 6MT e60m5 and e28m5 to develop their first kits for the platforms. As you know, the quality is next level — the dampers are cut from billet aluminum! If you need support/service from MCS, they are “local” in Alpharetta, GA — no time crazy European time zones to deal with.
