So I came across a spoiler with oem part number 1 921 469. The pictures aren’t great and there are none of it mounted on the vehicle.
in any event I own a 1 of 1 North American spec 1984 524td which I am doing a full restoration on. I also wanted to add some oem+ upgrades. I recently acquired a set of oem BBS Mahle wheels. I’m still looking for a coarse spline sport or m tech steering wheel as well as a rear spoiler. I’d like an oem spoiler and thought the 535is/m5 spoiler was my only option until I came across this guy.
can anyone post pics of a car with this spoiler? Are there more factory spoilers im unaware of? If so, anyone have pics of the others and possible part numbers?
any insight and help is greatly appreciated.
regards,
-Dino

I'm guessing it's this spoiler: https://historiadeclasicos.blogspot.com ... sport.html

eye candy forum has a sticky of aerodynamic parts. Many pics links have died but the last post has a link to the wayback machine with the pictures still in the thread. Here is that link

It appears there were 3 different factory trunk spoilers, the common one used on the is and M5 cars, and 2 more, the one in question the one you're talking about. I think it is the one I had on my car, I don't recall the part number, but it was BMW. Looked good, I liked it. All rubber, a bit smaller than the M5 one. A pic of my car with it.

That is what he is looking for but I provided a pic of it 'on a car'. Not quite the same but at least those two spoilers look similar enough to think the one you show is the correct numbered one.

Thank you for all the reply’s gentlemen.
blueshadow thank you for those pics as well. That would be the one.
Mike that appears to be the one. The seller who has it simply wants too much money. More than double of what I can buy the 535is/m5 spoiler locally for. I prefer this smaller oem piece. So I will need to try to source one that isn’t an arm and leg.

I thought the first one was a bridge spoiler. But now I’m wondering what the subtle differences between the first and second spoilers are. I found someone selling the first one, part number 1 908 893
