Front air dams
So, what front air dams are available here in the US that don't cost 500 dang dollars to ship? I should have jumped on one at U pull 2 years ago because I haven't seen an E28 there since.

Re: Front air dams
Shipping costs have gone crazy these past few years. You need to find one locally.

That seems to be the problem. I found a nice Hartge replica for 300 on the bay but they want 300 to ship.

This place in France has several different styles listed, although most are marked as out of stock plus you'd have to deal with shipping costs. I imagine they're all designed to fit euro e28s as well. https://www.classiqueautowerks.fr/bmw-e28

Where are you located?
Re: Front air dams
@TORBAYMODS on Instagram. I ordered a BBS replica spoiler from him. Greta quality and price. $180 shipped from Kazakhstan in 7 days. He makes a bunch of parts for the e28. He’s worth checking out.
Re: Front air dams
I don't know, I've heard bumpers might. E12 and E28s are very similar body wise, but E12 are more pointed, E28s more square.
Recently? That's a screamin' deal. I looked a couple of years ago and I couldn't ship an E39 bumper cover 30 miles for under $200.Dimm6 wrote: Sep 25, 2022 3:25 PM @TORBAYMODS on Instagram. That is his info. You have to DM him through Instagram. He doesn’t have a website.EE TWO EIGHT wrote: Oct 17, 2022 12:26 PMPlease forward his information to meDimm6 wrote: Sep 25, 2022 3:25 PM @TORBAYMODS on Instagram. Re: Front air dams
I ordered some pieces from him a few weeks back. Will take some time to produce and ship to Canada.
Shipping here is always expensive, however the prices of the bodywork were very good.
Will report back with some quality information when I have them in-hand.
Re: Front air dams
I was thinking of ordering the entire Mtech body kit from him. They look really good. But I’d need euro bumpers in order for the kit to be mounted on. That would add a more money to the kit. So not yet for me.Panici wrote: Oct 19, 2022 6:38 AMI ordered some pieces from him a few weeks back. Will take some time to produce and ship to Canada.

Re: Front air dams
Just to make everyone mad, here’s a story. I bought a used 535is factory air dam for twelve dollars. Saw it on Craigslist, called the guy, gingerly ascertained he actually meant $12 and not $120, immediately jumped in the car and drove an hour with a tenner and two ones. Okay, it needs some icky paint stripped off and then to be refinished, and I need to fab up the bracketry. But I wasn’t inclined to dicker him down to $11.

Re: Front air dams
Sent about $1000usd (of which $345 was shipping) to Kazakhstan.
Haven't mounted up the parts yet so can't speak of fitment.
I'm impressed with the quality of parts from @Torbaymods @Torbayshop thus far.
Ended up ordering:
E28 BBS Front
E28 BBS Rear
E28 Zender Front
E28 M-Tech side skirts
The wooden box he built got pretty beat up when shipping all the way from Kazakhstan; The parts are only scuffed where they were exposed. This speaks to the quality of the parts he builds IMO.
Planning on mounting up the BBS Front with just some rattlecan paint in the spring. Everything else will wait for proper refinishing and colourmatching.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, and I will post more as parts are mounted.

Re: Front air dams
Cool, you got them and like them.
They look thin, what are they made out of?

Re: Front air dams
Insides appear to be fiberglass, not sure what they used on the outside for such a smooth finish.
Whatever they used, the corners took some hits in transport and there are only scuffs, no cracking.

Unfortunately I think that’s the only contact. I just messaged him back and forth on Instagram. You could try plugging the user name on Facebook. I know FB and IG are connected.
