Interesting factoid I never knew. When the music died, Bob Dylan was in the band that filled the bill. Today is also my 44th wedding anniversary :D

I'm missing a tooth. Also missing a case of beer. I'm thinking that the two are related.

AH HA! That might be related too! It's starting to feel like a Kentucky family reunion 'round here.

Hey, OcCoupe is in town! I can't tell if that's a cashier's check in his pocket or if he's just happy to see me.

Shoot me please. My wife and kids just started watching this movie "Into the Woods". It's a musical so they started singing their lines right away and five minutes into the movie my cell phone took my attention away.

I hate musicals.

The new Alfa performance sedan took first place in the latest Car and Driver comparison. Besting the AMG, M3, and v-series Cadillac. I'm kind of stunned.

I've pulled my fake spilled coffee gag on most of my coworkers but today I'll be seeing if the Director of Engineering has a sense of humor. I know you're probably thinking, "gee Chuck, isn't your annual performance review today at 3:30? maybe you should wait on the coffee gag". Sorry, but that's not how I roll.

The little burg I live in has one of those speed radar trailers, something like this, Image Now I know I walk fast, but the wife not so much so. Anyway, we've been out on walks lately where it's been set up, we walk by and it says 24MPH. No traffic around, I hear a click as we walk by. Put a little distance on it and it goes down to 21, then 12 and finally out. And they wonder why we are skeptical of radar guns?

No, they were the real thing . The car belonged to the dude on the far right. You didn't see a lot of Malibu convertibles in France at that time (or any american car for that matter).

 Yes, The DoE thought it was hilarious and I also got a great annual performance review. I even beat everyone in my group turning in Form 700 which is a first for me. :)

Spring training is here, baseball is on cable channels, even if it sounds like minor leagues. The mideast may still be a mess, I'm not a fan of our recently elected president, but life is good, baseball is back. :D

We're looking at flights back to the US for June/July. Since we don't plan to return to Europe for a while, we naturally looked for one-way tickets.

Holy. Cow. Lowest price we found was about 2,000€.

We thought it was something to do with the summer travel load... Then on a whim we priced round-trip tickets, and they're about half the price of one way tickets. Somehow I thought the airlines got over that business of charging twice the price for half the flight years ago. I guess we'll just buy a round trip and see how many times we can rebook the flight before finally bailing on the return trip.

This package got within 100 miles of my house and now it's in Michigan
I think USPS does a great job with Priority, but ground? Not so much.
