Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
A whole family of these just showed up. This is good for a guy who owns 3 R12 cars.

Well, not knowing the "white" part on the original picture is water the first thing that came to mind was white sands as it looks when you are on your way there (would say 30 miles away), not necessarily when you are already there. Of course once you are there the view it is breathtaking and very unlike anything you've ever seen... Now, besides missing some sand dunes, i still think that's how white sands looks from afar. I lived in El Paso for many years and have been at and driven by white sands many times enough to have thought there was some resemblance there.Mike W. wrote:Really? Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
I showed that to one of the dorm kids today; he said (while rolling his eyes), "That is such a dad joke."
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
I'll admit, I laughed. I love marginal jokes though.

tHEY'RE ba-ack The bearded youths driving the old green station wagon. Now they bop around in a Vermont green Ford Econoline Club Wagon. with VT plates. One of the guys brought his wife and their baby.
I fell off the no tobacco wagon for 2 weeks. That is all my lungs can stand. So I'm back on Chantix and having technicolor dreams again. Don't throw me back into that briar patch. Brer Fox. Heh heh, Bring 'em on. The dreams are vivid and deep enough so that I remember them. Or flashes, montage style. Not my first rodeo,Much space cowboy, star riding psychedelia as a callow youth. Gotta get yer ya yas wherever you can

If it smells like shit it probably is.
I was at a local landscape supply place yesterday picking up some shredded redwood bark with the trailer behind the E12. I'm watching him load it with a small tractor, took 4 buckets for 2 yards but it smelled like shit. I figured it was landscape, they probably had some manure or fertilizer or something I that I was smelling. Wrong. It was the dogshit I was stepping in.
Oh well, I've had worse happen to me. Doesn't mean I like it...

Apparently birds don't like Stahlblau Metallic because they shit on it with great abandon.

Are you parking under a streetlight? Whatever's under the one in front of our house gets a near hourly deposit.Karl Grau wrote:Apparently birds don't like Stahlblau Metallic because they shit on it with great abandon.

Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Usually it's bird crap. Today I thought it was an extra helping until I started to hose it off. It wasn't bird crap, but rather bird. I guess a hawk or something was having lunch up there because there was a leg here, a wing there, something with feathers here and there, and oh yeah, there's the other leg. Great.Mike W. wrote:Are you parking under a streetlight? Looks like a head.
And a leg
and another leg. You get the picture.
So Chas, don't complain about just bird shit anymore.

My nominee for the December Parking Award with bonus points for not having handicapped plates or handicapped placard.
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
A coworker/ friend made a proclamation to me once that most bad park jobs he sees are BMW's. So I accepted his challenge and now every time I see someone parked like an asshat I snap a pic and text him with a caption of: "I'm so confused that's not a BMW?" This has been going on well over a year, I'd say the bad park jobs I get are 85% big douche trucks and not once has it been a BMW.

Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Score! Apparently because of my name, I can have a $13.49 chicken sandwich at Red Robin for free today. Yay.
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Nice! Which part of your name should we put on our fake ID?
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
lol. It's for people named Christopher, Nicholas, Christine or Nicole or something similar to those. A friend told me about it last night and I wasn't going to bother since it seemed like a hassle and would probably take a while. It's only available today. Glad I did. It's actually a really good sandwich but I don't see how it's worth $14 and change after tax. It did open me up to the idea of chicken next time I go there, but it's tough to beat a hamburger with an egg on it.
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Wow, I just assumed you meant Sir wm.
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
I was very glad that was abbreviated on my drivers license and wasn't noticed.

It's $14 because the rest of us that are not named Christopher, Nicholas, Christine or Nicole are paying for those who arewkohler wrote: ....It's actually a really good sandwich but I don't see how it's worth $14 and change after tax.

Since my Man Bun won't grow, I decided to try a mustache/beard. It was going really well until my Mustacheee got caught in a beer can pop top last night and I hit the roof. That beer was fresh and full, but by the time I got done dancing and untangling, it was all over me. Fux you, mustache.

I knew that the DuPont/Dow merger was a bad idea.
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Hahaha. Some people really do "eat" that stuff on the daily. Did you take that pic?vinceg101 wrote: I knew that the DuPont/Dow merger was a bad idea.

Yeah, I was in traffic and happened to look over. Did a double-take when I read that; I guess it means yet another classic '70's Dystopian film they're going to muck up again.86GT635 wrote:Hahaha.
