If you believe a 'sports car' with this stance has retained its function you are either mistaken or in denial. Anyone who has owned and driven a vehicle of similar characteristics can attest to the poor ride, loss in tractability, increased wear on components and a requirement to alter ones driving habits to avoid any obstacle for fear of grave damage. Truly, it sucks to 'roll hard'.
Sure it looks good, however to those who have progressed beyond their teens and twenties, obnoxious idiosyncrasies are less likely to take precedence over function.

Haha true! I was just looking at my clearance on stock suspension and was trying to figure what kind of magic went into getting moose's car so low and fitting those wheels in there. Obviously not magic, but probably trial and error and previous experience I guess.

It's unfortunate that our ego's get so wrapped up in these cars that when aspects of the cars are seemingly attacked we perceive our very persons attacked. If a car is a representation of who we are then our perspective and likely our priorities are out of balance. My car is not who I am. It merely reflects my taste (and budget) during a time in my life and nothing more than that.

All joking aside, your car looks great. I'm still coming to grips with the 1J however. If anything outside Bavaria would go in mine, it would come from a TVR.
Obviously he chose style over function. And I think he's done an absolutely stunning job. I'm also pretty positive his "Stanced" E28 would easily outperform my mostly stock E28. The 1JZ motor is a beast....
