The Thread of Randomness. . .
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Randomness does not imply lack of repetition.

I saw a car this morning with a German license plate that started with TL DR. I didn't catch the rest of the plate.
True story.

Today I drove a 2016 4-cyl Honda Accord and a V6 Honda Crosstour. Now I'm contemplating keeping the E32.

A nice view of Ban Island today after the first El Niño rain of the season.

I don't believe the events of Nov 13 in France are 'Tailpipe' worthy.

Why is "Happy <insert day of the week>" now an accepted term of the uber-perky? It isn't just corporate world speak either.
Today I was "Happy Thursday'd" in an email and I deleted it out of annoyance.

Spring of 2014 I was sent to El Paso for work and part of the trip included a visit to Las Cruces. I had a mustang rental and decided a little "me" time was in order so I went awol for a few hours and drove out to the white sands National Monument. Easily one of my top 5 favorite locations I've been lucky enough to visit. It was so eerily quiet and breath taking. Idk maybe I'm easily amused?Mike W. wrote:Really? Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Completely agree. I had a chance to visit Socal and stay on Coronado Island while I attended some training in June for 10 days. June in Slicktop City is unbearable by normal standards, we're just getting warmed up. (Ha!) Socal in June is HEAVEN, and I was rolling in a 69 1600... How much better can it get?jhall wrote:Spring of 2014 I was sent to El Paso for work and part of the trip included a visit to Las Cruces. BUT.
California wears on you. On the way home, as I got closer and closer to sea level and triple digit temeratures...
I couldn't help but take a deep breath, soak up the heat, and enjoy acres upon acres of desolate scrub.
I love the harshness and sterility of the desert.

My nephew just started his first USAF assignment at Holloman Air Force Base. After tech school in Wichita Falls/Sheppard AFB it should be like heaven, huh?
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
It would be to me. We were there one time just after 9-11, like less than a week, and wow where there ever a lot of fighters flying around. F15s at the time IIRC.John in VA wrote:My nephew just started his first USAF assignment at Holloman Air Force Base. After tech school in Wichita Falls/Sheppard AFB it should be like heaven, huh?
Re: The Thread of Randomness. . .
Checking in on a pool project, a lady races up to me and asks if I have a strong back. Not sure what she wants, but I tell her "HELL YEAH!". She then asks for me to come with her as her husband has: "Fallen, and cannot get up". There he is, 250+ lying between the chair and table. He OLD. Quickly I rely in my Jujitsu training that I never paid attention to, and got that fucker back up and into his chair.
He was very, very grateful and so I've got that going for me. On my deathbed I will receive full enlightenment.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

I guess Germany has it's share of people who are unable to park worth a crap. I didn't get a pic, but the car had all kinds of kitschy animal trinkets hanging inside. A serious "cat lady" vibe about it.

Gravity is a hell of a drug. It makes me gasp in awe how our whole system is staying in sync when I see dust particles floating in the light, and realize our planet is doing the same at 67,000mph.
