I remember in 1999 there was a total eclipse. Something you can see only once in a lifetime.
Awesome. BBCOne had a plane flying through the eclipse zone and got some excellent footage of the event. The only thing better than being in the right place at the right time is having the ability to put yourself in the right place at the right time.

After the first or second time you hook your E39s front bumper cover on a curb and trash it you'll be doing that too. :brickwall:

I don't know what's worse, her, or her assistant letting it stay that way. I wonder if she's that arrogant or detached. Would she have done it if it was a rusty 74 Chevy pickup with a Barden bumper she boxed in? :dunno:

Two songs you don't want to come on the radio when you're driving home from the bar at 6PM in heavy traffic after having "a few".

Mr Brownstone.

Mama Kin.

Particularly back to back. DAMHIK.

I really need new shoes. My left heal has a large hole in the side and now my back hurts from walking crooked. No matter though, at least it's raining today and a lot of the pollen is washing out of the trees!

That's pretty cool. I just blew ~20 minutes watching this one too; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTmD5VSgaYk Looks like a lesser machine, but the video gives a more detail on the whole process. I love the tender that rolls back & forth on rails on the machine! Eat your heart out, John Henry.

This ad from 1987 probably had more impact on my life than any other advertisement. Interesting that I own 3 cars that were made that year.

Speaking of fishing...

See the guy holding the fish on this hotel's home page?

Hmmm... Looks familiar.

By the way, I'm naming my next car after a ship in one of Iain M. Bank's Culture novels, just like Elon.

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate trailers & teasers?

I was able to avoid almost all of the trailers for all six of the Tolkien movies, but it's hard work. They are everywhere.

And at just two cubic meters in volume, you should have no trouble mounting it on the roof rack of your Volvo.
