Just a heads up. The "B34 oil pump sprocket: $10" is a cam gear and the "B34 exhaust manifolds: $30" are actually B35.

Any chance you might have an early style ignition switch? They are kind of a PITA to remove.

My new euro chassis is an 85. Is that 'early' from that perspective?

Can it be removed in such a way that the steering will still turn?

If yes to both, you can have it, but you have to come and remove it. I'm going to replace the column with a late model column (and locks).

85 is the cutoff date, could be late or early. If it has a metal steering column it is early style. Not sure if the wheel will lock with it out.

I don't think I'm going to replace it on the 524td, it's just too much work. I tried on a car at pick n pull and ended up just breaking it. I'll let the next guy do that.

Want the whole column?

I only need enough of a column to cause the wheel to turn until I get my real one. The car has no interior or drive-train, so it's just needed to move the car around the driveway.

I'll pass. Too much work and I would rather turn my attention now to the 733I. pretty much did all I needed to do to the 524td and that was get it running and driving. I'll be listing it for sale today.

Thanks anyway.

Bump; literally:

Rear US Bumper Kit. Convert your euro car to US bumpers! Make offer (will part out).
Plastic has is solid, but surface is rough and not shiny.
Turn signal assemblies and lenses included (not shown but they are fine).
Local pickup only on bumper itself.
