Amazingly yes. Dropped some coolant when I parked it though... Came from a hose clamp at the t-stat housing which looked like a new clamp and housing gasket is new. Guessing since the car was off the road it just didn't heat cycle enough to show that clamp needed an extra 1/4 turn.

My new to me e30 Manual Sport seats in glorious leather from Mike H. out of his Zinno car turning tracker. Thank you for the door to door delivery. I hope you enjoyed our state and the rest of the trip. Your wife and daughter are troopers! Here is a pic or two. Will do full cover spread next year when Turbo goes in, in the Spring. Todd at TCD his helping secure the goodies now. -R
Also bought a 3.25LSD from Sam (don't know his screen name). Nice Euro 533i. Even nicer guy. Turns out he's from Romania and we visited his home town while we were there last week.
Sat in it and smelled the new leather.....ahhhh. Also ordered a new Head unit. I have Kenwoods in all of my other non-stock applications. Makes jumping from car to car easier. I have never liked the JVC in this car. the Kenwood I like is. BT 752HD. Got a refurb on eBay for $79 plus shipping.
Today I tried to replace my t-stat, amongst other related stuff, but had to call it off after snapping 3 bolt heads
I ended up using a heavy hammer and chisel to get the cover out:
I also found this cold war relic inside (it actually works well )
Removed and replaced the old ignition cylinder which had a key broken off inside. Was a PITA, turning the key to the second position and inserting a paperclip didn't do anything to release the old cylinder as it was supposed to. I ended up drilling a small hole through the ignition housing to exactly where the release button was and it magically released. Everything buttoned up and now I don't have to start the car with the ghetto screw driver technique.
Did a little more good faith updates before Buzzbomb goes to it's new home. Aardvark makes these straps for anyone needing to do the same. They also have the securing clips but if you're handy you can just get some steel rod and make your own.
Just took an hour of eyeballing, bending and cutting. I'll miss the ole gal, but we went as far as we could go together and I have another something special in the werks.

I put another regulator and accumulator on Blucifer this morning. Now I can do panic stops! That has been my only issue in 4000 miles of shake down. Should be ready for winter now.
Installed my Airtex intank and Bosch inline pumps. Now my beater 528e with working AC is back. In September we had a spat of 100F+ days that I think took out my main pump...it still pumped, but the car ran like shit...low pressure. I think it sucked air. I had forgotten how solid and underpowered my e28 feels...like stepping back in time....waaaaaay back.
I'm using the last super e as a tool box, but I put a dozen miles on it and pumped up the skins I have on front, whilst I wait to get it aligned after replacing the right tie rods. The resonator is leaking too.
Drove it out to East County to visit my Dad, decided it wasn't loud enough, came home and put the B&B exhaust back on. It's finally cooling down enough where I hope to get a lot more stuff done on the whole fleet.

Do you have any sound clips with the B&B exhaust. I'd love to hear it!
