Rear H&R spring install. Looking much better. Dug out rust in rear driver side inner wheel well. Getting ready for the welder and @thevintage.

so far this year i put in new motor mounts, wr9ls plugs and finally killed those horrible dirty pin stripes. hope to do a lot of suspension work yet this year.

wet sanded with 600 grit and rolled on another coat of green! This coat turned out pretty good!

Almost got ran off the road prior to returning home by some punk. Ended up getting curb rash on the right front rim... I'll upload a pic tomorrow when it's bright outside.

It was an early 2000s coupe. Guy has HIDs, and I assume that he's a punk, given the music he was blasting in his car.

I hope that none of you in the SF Bay Area has been involved with him.

the car has been fabulous.
switched over to the summer wheel/tire combo, moved rear bilstein perch rings, checked fluids, turned up the stereo and enjoyed driving it. No wonder my wife doesn't complain about this thing, not that she's a complainer.
Changing to a different car is going to take a lot more effort than keeping this one going...

I'm taking out the fuel injectors to be cleaned while I wait for parts to arrive wednesday. Also valve adjust and compression test. Better do that first, come to think of it

Tires in the front and alignment. Professionally done. At the local BMW dealer. Even got short shift parts. New.

Replace your motor mounts kids!

Replaced mine a few days ago with parts I ordered from Blunttech during their customer appreciation sale. Gonna replace my cracked transmission crossmember this afternoon.

Finally painted my air damn it was all nackered up with chips and scratches. Paint color is a little off but can't tell really under that huge bumper.

While the injectors are out getting refurbished, today I cleaned up the engine wiring harness, adjusted the valves, put in new spark plugs, ordered new wires from BMP, installed a new reference and a new speed sensor, and then discovered that my spare trans. has ref. and speed sensors still attached and in one piece. It's been a great day, all in all.

Matched the bumpers to bodycolor. Had a choice- Get them re-chromed or paint them to match the body. I think I chose wisely.

-Trans mounts
-Trans rear seal
-Trans oil
-CSB
-Guibo / hardware (e34 M5)
-Diff
-Diff mount (528e)
-Diff oil
-Rear sway links and bushings
-Fuel filter
-Exhaust gaskets @ block and mani flange
-Engine oil / filter

Resealed the recent 3.46 LS purchased from Manny D. before it went in. Everything inside looked brand new, I'm pretty excited.

I know I'll get reamed by you guys for this, and I agree wholeheartedly, but I had to stop short of replacing the subframe bushings based on my father's reluctance to have my car hogging his driveway any longer (been at this since Tuesday). It's a damn shame, seeing as the entire rear end was already removed.

Shored up a broken mounting channel for my CSB which I'm hoping will finally solve it's jump-rope tendencies once and for all.
Please excuse crap-quality resized cell pics.

First (old) attempt at welding up the corner:

No pics of the new fix, but it's much more sturdy and I'm confident it'll resolve my issue.

Removed this chunk of grease and shot gears.

And replaced it with this beauty!

After showing it some TLC, of course.

And a shot of a new sway link, for good measure.

Can't wait to take her for a spin, hopefully tomorrow. Working through the weekend has put the brakes on this projects productivity.

Anyway, yeah.

Quickly and efficiently solved my smoking vents and faulty fresh air flapper valve problems thanks to the plethora of information and search feature available on MyE28.

I also re-kindled my love of duct tape by fashioning a skinny vacuum snorkel out of some stereo wire loom I had laying around and using a little more duct tape to secure it to the end of my vacuum accessory wand. It worked perfectly and allowed me to remove 25 years worth of flammable tree detritus from the area under the blower fan mount assembly.
